@@LarryLawtonJewelThief It’s a video game haha. A pretty good one, in my opinion. You play as a professional assassin, and the final mission is whacking an old guy that betrayed your organization, who’s currently undergoing heart replacement surgery. The twist is that he has situs inversus, meaning his heart is literally backwards, and he can only receive a donor heart from someone else with the condition. I’m not sure what the original commenter found very similar, but one way you can complete the mission is just to destroy the donor heart, thereby sabotaging the surgery.

I worked in several prisons. It depends really who the Warden is and if he holds people accountable. When you are in a prison, everything is closely monitored. I will add this. At a private prison, if you need medical care, you are out of luck. They do not put money into healthcare. You are just a number. I knew several inmates who had different issues and none of them received proper care. They have a palliative unit and it is sad seeing these men here dying. They are not around friends or family’s. They meet death alone. Also, prisons make crappy good and I can tell you the cornbread with stuffed hot dogs is not healthy. Prisons will not go out of their way to help. All they have to do is show staff present. Larry, a large percentage of inmates actually put themselves in a situation that results in healthcare. Drugs, especially Fentanyl, can lead to inmate deaths if there is not trained staff medical or security. Some staff do have a compassion for inmates but not all. We had a few die from getting drunk on hand sanitizer. I affirm that prisons suck.

Fentanyl overdose can kill you, but withdrawal won’t. The real killers in WD are benzos and alcohol, you’ll have a seizure if unmanaged and it often isn’t. Medical will give you Gatorade and check your heart rate and blood pressure, but they won’t taper you off. They’ll also falsify medical records to say that they did. The jails and prisons in this country are terrible.
@antonchekhov19th-centuryru432 ай бұрын
I totally understand. When you are dealing with money and power it’s impossible. I worked at a prison and now a witness for DOJ for the shit they are doing. We had a case manager deliberately wrote in an inmate’s file that he was dangerous when he wasn’t. He was working. Staying out of trouble. He goes before the parole board and is denied based on a case managers lie. He was like screw this. If I can’t get out on parole because of some asshole why should I be good? Prison is about money. Each head is worth so much. That’s why we have such a large prison system. It’s not meant to rehabilitate but to educate inmates to become more dangerous. They have nothing positive in their situation. I’m glad you were able to get out.

I have a lot of serious health issues that I need medication to, well, live, and I've often wondered what would happen to me if I were to ever end up in jail/prison (and as we all know, that can happen even if you've done nothing wrong). I'd probably die or be in unspeakable agony. I remember a case of a transplant recipient dying because the prison refused to give him his medication. Not just a waste of a life, but a waste of an organ that so many people are in need of. I'd be mad as hell if that was my family member's heart that got tossed away by the prison system. Nobody should receive a death sentence because they can't access necessary medical care.

Privatizing the prison system - or any system responsible for the welfare of people - was a huge error. In for-profit industries, revenue will always take precedent over the well-being of their charges.
@lisaaronson2832 ай бұрын
Larry...I'm so sorry you've had to witness all of your friend's demise in the way you did. I agree that the prison system needs to be overhauled. Yes, prison isn't supposed to be Disneyland. But it is supposed to be humane. I am a true believer that drug arrests should not include confinement. Why? The second that person is behind bars another drug dealer will take their place. If there are no deaths in the arrest they should be fined and get house arrest. Why not let Weinstein out on house arrest? You're right he's on his way out anyway. No convict that has serious health conditions that have support on the outside should be kept confined. Not all prisoners are as compassionate or as smart as you are. But the reason we have more people incarcerated in the U.S than any other Country is because we lock up people for too long. So long that when they finally get released, they are lost. Many end up back in the system cuz it's all they've ever known for most of their lives. In this Country the more money you have and the better representation you have, you get 1/2 the sentence of regular joe shmows who have a public defenders. I can guarantee when you were finally released you were severely missed by many of your friends in prison. Even though you were arrested for huge thefts I believe your sentence should have been half of what you served. But while you were in... you were of great service to your fellow inmates. You served too much time for your crime. I can see why you have PTSD. Take care of your health and Ma's too. You dodged a bullet with that blood clot in your lung artery. Eat well, walk Morty every day and drink in moderation. Just found you. And I care, Lisa.

@charlesbolin72072 ай бұрын
@@LarryLawtonJewelThief I'm sorry it didn't work for you, my arm wasn't broken though but it was skinned pretty bad. When I pushed the dash off of me it at first looked like it was down to the bone, I wrapped it in my shirt to avoid looking at the injury. It required 2 surgeries to clean it and a flap surgery to close the wound. Toradol is not without it's drawbacks. It can only be used for a very short term. I eventually wound up with perkies for a short while, I didn't use many of them but it helped sleep with the splint and staples on my arm. Especially when I went home after a week and my 3 year old daughter jumped right on my arm. Even through the hard splint I definitely felt it. I will say she was happy to have Daddy home for a month while I recovered and I appreciated the short term vacation as she doesn't see me often. Larry I love your content especially when you talk about cooking in prison. Believe it or not your cooking looks better than some of the stuff we eat from the truck stops. I've never been arrested but I used to work in private security long before I was a truck driver and I studied criminal justice briefly in college before becoming a driver. I listen to your show when I'm on the road, I'm sure a lot of drivers do. I understand why we as a society need to lock some people up, however we also need to treat our prisoners with dignity. It really upsets me when people say someone got off easy or what about the victims feelings, don't get me wrong I feel for a victim but biased people don't understand that after a conviction a prisoner is turned over to the Department of Corrections, not the "Department of Revenge and Retribution". The goal should be to return people to society a better person not get revenge. It's been said many times that you can tell a lot about a society by looking at how it treats its elderly, mentally ill and prisoners convicted of a crime. Keep making your show, you open people's eyes.

Charles Manson or a death penalty case would get seven years and other sentences prorated down from there. Then you are set free with all your rights intact. Get convicted a second time and you don’t get a second chance. One appeal and automatic execution. You had your freebie and didn’t learn your lesson.

The lack of medical care in prison is most like the same as everyday American's due to the fact they do not have health insurance or the ability to self pay for the entire procedure upfront. If the state department of corrections pays for the medical care the inmates need they are losing money since they are never going to get it back even if they bill the inmates when they are released. Quite frankly America needs to catch up with the rest of the world and have government funded health care that everybody pays into and it covers all your medical expenses.

Sound editor is over the top trying to prove their job. Stop with all the background music and sound effects so annoying and it just makes it hard to hear what is being said

He did what he did yet his personal assistant Leslie Hedland, who no doubt knew what was going on and likely personally led young actresses into his "audition room", was given hundreds of millions of dollars by Disney to direct a disney star wars TV show that nobody asked for, or even watched. No accountability for that talentless person, show was such a joke it got cancelled after one season

He should not get special treatment! How many inmates do not get that privilege! Why do you not show pictures of his victims? Instead of obvious political figures that are not on the right? Your choices of images are telling.

It's a been a while since I posted. I just want to say that I want to personally thank you for all the work that you do. You are a true angel of an individual with what you do for youth as well as your efforts for any sort of prison reform. never stop!

If he was to get out could he be put on house arrest or would he be free of the rest of his sentence.

Wealthy people should never be sent to prison. They should be under house arrest or probation. Prison is for little people. Not big people.

I think Harvey got a raw deal. he shouldn’t be in prison at all. And if I were a member of his jury, he would not be in prison. He was a rich man. Women had what he wanted. He had what women wanted. They made a trade. And then some women got butt hurt for some reason.
