While the scammers have control of the bank website they do a legitimate money transfer from the savings accounts into the checking account which will make the funds available to withdraw in cash. And then the scammers want the scammed person to use the cash to do some sort of irreversible cash transfer either by mailing the money somewhere or by buying untraceable gift cards
