Economies generally evolve from Agriculture to Manufacturing to Services. In India, we tried to jump directly from Agriculture to Services by neglecting Manufacturing. That has been the main cause of massive unemployment since Services cannot deliver 1 crore (10 million) new jobs every year. Services is a slighly niche sector with limited opportunities requiring high skills that are not easily available. Manufacturing is a mass employer requiring not very high education or skills. Unless Manufacturing grows in India, the demographic dividend can turn into a demographic disaster.

The main problem is that if anyone wants to opt for govt. service then have to study materials that are very outdated and have to forget what he has learnt near nearly 15 years, which makes very hard for many that ultimately goes in the dark, that is the harsh reality of this country. Jobs can't be given to anyone who has to forget his 15 years of knowledge and studied 3 or 4 years unuseful materials. India is actually ruining its youths future.

Nowadays it's all laparoscopic but interviewers do not have idea about laparoscopy coz they have never even touched it and refuse to up skill themselves

Need to point out: 1. in urban population, the women are not being stopped from doing jobs, rather in 95% of the cases I have seen it is the unjustified workload and mental pressure which force women to quit job at their will. 2. You have missed out discussing about the Employees' protection laws or labour laws. In present scenario, the private sectors are making people work for 12 hrs or even more and taking the output of 5 persons from a single person. As a result the quantitative requirement is getting reduced and quality of jobs and individual life is getting deteriorated.

I'm from Punjab and everybody knows their love for Canada/US/Aus. When I was in 11 all of my friends were preparing for IELTS as they all were planning to move abroad but I was the only one who decided to stay back here and do Hotel management. I always felt like India is great and we are progressing and have a great scope for almost every field. And I always fought every of them that people like you are the reason india is not developing properly and why you want to move when you can have a great future here. But then when I finally started college everything just fell apart. Demonetization followed by GST, increase in hate crimes, forced laws on almost every thing, inflation, job losses. And now all of those people are well settled, earning great amount, some going on world tour, some buying their dream cars and here I'm jobless, also not able to start my business. I regret my decision daily.

A nice video on a very crucial topic. The economy is heading towards a downward tailspin. We are experiencing something which is known as Gross Demand Shortage. The country is struggling but the government is looking the other way round. My suggestion is that we should start brainstorming on the second generation of economic reforms. There are a lot of steps that India needs to take before we truly adopt the model of free-market suited for the Indian context. Our population is young right now. However, it won't be so young forever. This is something that the general people and politicians alike do not understand.

Most employment generating sector i.e. agriculture is being neglected by governments while it can fulfill the need of employment permanently. Farmers are forcing their children to do jobs in government and private organisations due to uncertainty of income which can be clear if governments help them . We should create an environment to generate jobs through agriculture.

Idk man... I feel like people don't wanna be manual farmers, because for example, I've always lived in the city. I don't know how to plant crops. The salaries in MNCs starts from around 25k... Why should a kid be restricted from a higher pay, just because he's born to a farmer? Thus I feel like we need an automation of agriculture. If there's corporatisation of agriculture, there'll be equivalent better pay and we can also grow a lot more, with efficiency. Thus removing hunger and poverty in one go.

Recently government said, "no one dies by lack of oxygen because of no data on it". The same will happen with jobs. the darkest phase of our country and this is not due to our NETA but it is due to blindly follow someone. They forgot us command sense. Like our uncles said, "if you can buy a movie ticket of 200 or 300 and buy popcorn of 100 Rs. then you should afford 100 Rs. petrol." but he is not ready to accept this price hike effect on daily routine things.

Upgrad advertisement is placed extremely well. You've explained the problem and placed Upgrad as the solution. Classic marketing... The main issue is not getting a job even after paying such high fees (4L for data scientist's course). No guarantee that you'll end with a job thereby making your investment a risk. I believe ISA (income sharing agreements) may give more confidence to the end user.

I am a grade 10 ICSE student. Recently, we got our reduced syllabus for this year for all subjects. They removed reproduction chapter. This is the last year for all non-medical students that they will learn biology in school. Next year onwards, non-medicals like me would not be having biology class. We have not been taught anything about menstrual cycle or periods from school. Instead they have included lame topics like photosynthesis which barely has any practical implementation. Indian education system needs to understand that preventing students from getting sex ed would only lead to a rise in sex discrimination and rape. Please cover this point sir.
