@@robinmcara793 Nah, do it. I been on uc since the pandemic started, having made the terrible mistake of leaving uni due to mental and physical health issues, and trying to navigate this landmine-dotted hellscape since trying to find work. Did get a 6 month temporary contract, but it wasn't renewed, so back to it. The contract was part of a scheme to help find people even just temp work so cv's don't bomb, and hopefully long term if employers have space or are impressed enough. Which... was cut. I managed to get in on the last contracts given out, so at least I have some recent work experience on my cv to help my applications. I had also been promised a guaranteed interview at Mc D's during my first month on UC, but then lockdown happened and the course we were on booted everyone the last day of the 2 week course we had to take, so that was 20+ quid down the drain at the job centre's say so doing a course that amounted to nothing, for an interview that for obvious reasons couldn't happen due to lockdown. Then ofc there's the fact that lockdown kept lasting longer than expected, then kept going hot and cold, out of lockdown, back in lockdown. Maybe when they are struggling and people keep kicking them and cutting programs meant to help, they will get it.
