Lol, I mean, I get why Tommy would say that critics are important for art considering what y'all do but I'd say it's where you need critics the least. Like a critic notifying the public about a bad product will save people from malicious companies but art is subjective so what's there to criticize? Making objective statements about subjective topics. And it's unfortunate that non bigots get caught in that cross fire but as Killer Mike says, "And even if some good ones die, fuck it The Lord'll sort 'em" That's a metaphor. Ain't nobody dying but I am perfectly fine with the cross fire. I played baseball my whole life. There's a lot of yokels playing out in the boonies and it's probably got the most conservative playerbase of the major team sports so if somebody was talking shit about the sport because of that I'd understand and I wouldn't feel compelled to defend it. Ya know? It's just not about me so why would I care?
