It’s the perfect suburban pickup for Walmart & Costco. Most folks don’t tow, heavy haul or go off road.

My 2019 sport is the best truck I have owned over 40 years. Tows my GeoPro 19' RV trailer 4000lb loaded pretty easy. The key and most important thing with the 3.5 engine is to keep up on the maintenance. Oil changes, transfer and rear differental oil change which I do myself, plus Transmission oil which I change every 20,000-25,000 miles. The 6 Speed appears to be holding up well at this point with 55,000 miles. So I think as with most honda's, Maintenance is key.

A 2025 Ridgeline is hardly any different than my 2017 Ridgeline. Honda has done little to update the design. The Ridgeline is stale and in bad need of a major upgrade. It's a great truck for most folks, but Honda needs to give it a refresh.

Honda needs to make a Hybrid that gets better gas mileage, then I would be very interested!

I just bought a Tacoma but would have gotten a Honda Ridgeline if it had a mid gate. I wanted at least a 6 foot bed. Everybody always wants a refresh. I’m all for that for the interior. But every time an automobile manufacturer comes out with the new engine or transmission the reliability of the vehicle goes to hell. That’s why Toyota and Honda always historically have done better. They don’t change their engines or transmissions. Toyota is changing their engines and look at how much problems they’re having. That’s why I got a 2022 v6 Tacoma.

Honda Needs to step up big time

I'd love to be able to buy a 2 door PHEV or just EV Ridgeline. A solar bed cover and/or sunroof would be a nice option, too.

This week I have been studiously searching and learning about midsize trucks. The Maverick is least expensive but build quality is worrisome long term, Ford Ranger is overpriced and features for price do not match Nissan Frontier, Toyota Tacoma are built well, but the motors are four cylinder and turbo charged or hybrid. I have checked the Colorado but I had one at the turn of this century and it had no power. Ridgeline is not what I consider a truck. It would be a good grocery carrier or new tv from a box store. I’m tending to no go to a Nissan dealer and test drive the Frontier models. My 2016 Ram 1500 Ecodiesel is a great 4x4, but I get anxiety driving it because of the horror stories about the engine breaking down. Not sure what I’m going to do.

Sooooo another Ridgeline that will die on the car lots right next to the current models they can't sell. Honda needs to wake up and revamp this truck or it will cease to exist due to lack of sales.
