53:15 fun fact to add to Maya's fun fact, like she said isopods are crustaceans so if you are allergic to Seafood you are allergic to isopods but you are also allergic to cockroaches and that's important to know because if you consume pre-ground coffee the FDA allows a certain amount of insect parts into food products and cockroaches love coffee beans so you might have an allergic reaction whenever you brew a cup of coffee. i knew these people who had a pet parrot and when i would spend the night at their house, the parrot would just scream all night. it would scream anything and everything. the bird knew the kids names bc of the parents yelling at them constantly, so the bird would scream at the top of its lungs the names of these kids all night. it would also scream “shut up” constantly, so yeah if you’re thinking about getting a parrot…maybe think twice if you value your sleep

I "know" someone (son of my parents friends) who had a grey parrot, and that lasted for about 6 months. I don't know what happened to that poor bird, but I hope it ended up in a better home. This person has been an unresponsible pet owner his whole life, god knows how many cats and dogs he's sent away. Two dogs just the past 3 years. It makes no sense that no one tells him to stop. Breaks my heart.

No, this species (Narceus gordanus), and most Spirobolid millipedes, do not secrete cyanide. These guys primarily secrete benzaldehyde and quinone. And it doesn’t smell of almonds, it’s just kind of an acrid smell. Many millipede species do secrete hydrogen cyanide, and it isn’t harmful for humans, but this species (and all of its relatives) do not.
