hashboard repair: Re-use and recycle ASIC chips

In this video, I show you the first step in re-using chips. Most of the time, the problem with the board is the solder, not the chip. To re-use chips, you need to prepare them for re-tinning. This is how I do it.

Hi I have a problem in repairing. I had t17 hashboard that it showed just 16 chip. In kernel log. After change asic 16 and 17. Fault goes to 29. After changing all of faults chips, every time showed me random number 9 after recheck 21 After some seconds 12 It show me 28 0 sign and 30 chips in status tab. After restart all of number that i mentioned it change. What is problem?

I have a z15 hashboard burned some reisters. There is some damage to green insulator but traces look ok except for some fused resisters

Someone had demonstrated that on discord. Unfortunately, sometimes it is hard to recall where. You can ask again on there and perhaps someone can help. I have not used this method.

Привет, я не уверен, что ты говоришь. В этой операции я удаляю плохой припой с чипа, чтобы я мог повторно залудить чип более качественным припоем. Спирт не удалит припой! Спасибо за ваш комментарий, мой друг. Если я вас неправильно понял, пожалуйста, поясните.

@@AntminerRepair look, friend, just heat the chip with a hairdryer and wipe the chip with a napkin, soak the napkin with alcohol.
