question can you use the hashboards as is in the same type of mining rig (antminer s17pro in my case ) or do you need to reprogram the chip data of the hash board ? i wondering if thats just needed when you change hashboards between say a s17 a t 17 or even an s19 trying to find out wat it takes to reuse old hashboards

If the one of the 300v capacitors is missing doesn't the render the board bad. Also the boost circuit is missing the 2 capacitors.

I've seen others heat the paste while the stencil is still on it. Not sure if that helps, I have a stencil on the way and I'll be experiencing with this.

So does the tester take into account chip 0 so if it says 48 asic it would actually be referring to chip 49 if you count starting with 1.

great video sir I have a problem that I hope you can help me with. I have a t17e hashboard, the last four domains in the kernel log are zero voltage, and according to my tests, the regulator voltages are correct and the boost circuit is also checked, but again when on the device We test, all 78 ASICs are detected, but the voltage of the last 4 domains is zero, which means that the hash board does not work so do you have any advice ?

definitely was solder paste that was used, I'd have to agree with your diagnosis of excess solder paste shorting out the clock signal to/from that chip.

Hi, I've been watching your videos and it's a fascinating insight into ASIC repairs. I'm pondering if I should take the plunge and start looking into fixing these myself or at least be able to try once my machines are out of warranty. I do have a question, I've 2 Antminer S19 Pro's (110) and I overclocked one of them to 130TH with a 8" fan adapter to keep it cool. It was working a treat for a good while, until suddenly it's one board down. I went back to the old stock firmware upgraded it and checked cables etc. but no luck. I noticed on the BITMAIN forums that it can be the PSU (they recommend swapping it out) but that doesn't make much sense to me as the other 2 boards work fine. Might you have an insight into this. is it worth me swapping the power module over from my other one to see if it brings the 3'rd board back to life? Interestingly, the error is always on chain 2 and even swapping the cables around leaves it on chain 2 which conflicts with some other stuff I read as it's supposedly the port on the control board that sets the chain number. So, surely swapping cables would mean the broken board would be on another chain. Maybe this supports the idea that the power supply is on it's way out as it can't supply enough power? Seems like a longshot but WAY cheaper to fix. In reality, I assume the extra heat combined with a manufacturing defect is the cause of the zero ASIC chip count on the last chain. I'd be very interested in your opinion on this power supply idea.

Hello my friend. When we receive this error in Hashboard t17, it means that our clock signal is noisy from one chip to the next. To find that chip, we have to start signaling with the oscilloscope from the first chip. We have to wait for a few seconds on every chip that receives a signal because this bad clock shows itself after a few seconds. When you reach the defective chip, you will see that the clock signal has the correct waveform at first, but after a few seconds, it changes. The exact same chip must be replaced.

Hello my friend. I am from Iran and unfortunately my English is not good and I use a translator. I hope I can convey my meaning well. I watched your video till the end and I thank you for it. In t17 hashboards, the biggest failure is the cold solder ( non-sticking of the chip). In the first stage, when you took the test, chip 3 was weak, but because in the first test, the solder of the chips was heated and got a better connection, you got a better result in the next test. You replaced the chip and the result was the same, so your soldering was not good and you got the same result. Maybe it's because the voltage on that chip is bad. Anyway, I have a suggestion for you. It is better to choose the chip you are replacing from the side domain that has another mode and test it. I am waiting for your answer, thank you

Hi Sir, your video is very good, thank you. but I still have two questions, Q1 is it looks you don't use fans to cool down these heatsink when hash board is power on, is that result hash board over heat? Q2 is how you can keep your hash board power on that long enough to measure these test points voltage, because test fixture (ZJ001000001) controlled PSU through regulation line, every time when I press test bottom, it only powered about 20 seconds. How to keep hash board always power on? Thank you very much.
@AntminerRepair
@AntminerRepair 2 жыл бұрын
There is a setting in the test file to only test for ASICS and not do the hash test. So it doesn’t heat as much. On the s17+ the power stays on longer. Not sure why. Hope that helps.
