As someone with Hashimoto’s who’s survived a pretty severe case of Covid (hospitalized for 11 days with Covid pneumonia requiring oxygen) I have to make an important point that many people may not be aware of. My Hashimoto’s was in remission (TSH level of 2.0 weeks prior to being diagnosed with Covid) and 3 months after it shot up to 4.9. This was a huge jump in a short period of time for me. The symptoms came back so severe (fatigue, major depression, and menstrual irregularities) that I’m now back off work for two months to try and get better. I truly believe all the inflammation in my body from Covid caused a relapse of Hashimoto’s. Super discouraging as I had worked for years to get it into remission. If you could do a video on the after affects of Covid on Hashimoto’s that would be super helpful as I’m sure I’m not the only one going through this…

Thank you for validating my intuition that having Hashimoto's does not mean auto immune compromised. I have been thinking and saying that my immune system is over reactive, not compromised....and felt that is different. Thanks, and I will share your great video with my sister too!

I have hashimotos and had my inflammation down, weight lossed and felt great. When I got covid- the swelling and inflammation was SO bad for me. My lips and my face were swollen, and my histamine levels were super high. 3 months after, I have inflammation I still just cannot seem to get under control. 😣

This happened to me, too. Did yours ever resolve? My histamine issues were never bad until after Covid.

You have two, I have three automimmune diseases, hashi's being one. I didn't notice the chest infection I had, not Covid thankfully and given steroids to push the antibiotics to do their job properly. But the Hashi's is overactive to prescription meds and also my own oestrogen production. So I have to weigh it all up properly.

Any thoughts on the vaccine? It is safe for Hashimotos. I am afraid I am going to have a flare up with the vaccine.

Me too that's my concern, as it is, I rarely feel 100% I'm always pushing through each day, even with meds Im still little dizzy, still little sleepy and so on, I'm concerned that the vax is going to make it worse.

I would say, listen to your own body and do your research properly. Always go with your gut...if in doubt, go without. The more clued up you are on your own health, the better you can make proper informed decisions about your own health.

It is encouraging, yet, the thyroid is the one thing we all need and it gets upset really easily. Really easily.
