The best part is that he doesn't see that while yeah sure mages 100-0 squishy targets mid-late game, they often need to hit abilities etc. and They are squishy themselves, while bruisers when They get to Their items are often unkillable 1v1 or 2v1 You need to assemble a raid party to kill fed bruiser, while You need one cc, or one face check from mage in 1v1 scenario to kill them

Mages have one item that makes them last as long as, if not more than (depending) a tank, which also grants them more damage and gives them resistance and gives them cooldown. Also, a fed mage can burst down your whole team (depending on champion) while a bruiser kills one by one (with somewhat an exception being Aatrox since he has more AoEs, but so long as your team isn't hugging each other for love, he still applies). Not to forget that most mages have one to several ways of protecting themselves, while (normally) Bruisers have to put themselves at risk. Look, I don't even like playing bruisers. I've always played and always loved Mages and Tanks, but the current items are ridiculous. Also MR itemization is beyond awful (seriously, just try playing against a full magic team; you have 3 items to do so [not counting boots] and most likely you can't really make use of their passive skills). With armor you actually have to stop and think what you want to get, with magic resistance, if your team doesn't have much magic damage that's one of three options not fitting, then if you aren't receiving heals, that's another option not fitting too well, and then lastly if the enemy isn't Cassiopeia or alike (who hit many times in short time) that's your third option not fitting. Not only it is pretty easy that this scene may happen, it still doesn't feel good to know you bought an item with a passive that you're not making much use of, since it actually is a bit rare that all three of them are actually fitting well.

zhonya, banshee and mask will not give you enough ap to burst someone, so if you are a combo mage then you are pretty screwed, and while zhonya is nice and all it also allows enemy team to prepare some skillshots to hit you when you come out of stasis.

Both of those have cast times which slow you down and E's health drain could get you killed faster. Vlad must stay of melee range to not get destroyed, as with most mages. If Jax waits before using E the Vlad will still have to W for safety because Jax has a vast advantage in melee range and if he does that then Jax can stun him after and get the upper hand because Vlad doesn't have the mobility to get out of E range if Jax has already jumped to him.

Also during that first fight, even if Vlad DID have cosmic insight, it only cuts down less than a second on Q in the early game. That doesn't really make that big of a difference when you auto attack someone at how hp in an army of minions during an extended trade.

Being "easy" doesnt correlate with higher winrates in lower elo, though. And many easy champs get a lot harder to play at higher elo - Jax being a good example of that. Mechanically easy champs arent really easy most of the time - except you fight against people that dont even attempt to counterplay you. Furthermore, a lot of toplanes especially seem to braindead OP when not counterplayed properly - or when they have a good matchup. For example, there are some champs Jax can afford to just Q off-CD on them. That certainly feels pretty easy. However, people call exactly 2 things easy all the time: Juggernauts and melee AAers. Both of them even more so if they are very strong 1v1. Illaoi or Darius arent braindead easy - although, they automatically win almost all 1v1s on their lane(and 1v2s in Illaois case). Tbh, many juggernauts have trouble translating a won lane into a won game. Aatrox being the exception there - but Aatrox also doesnt win 1v1s automatically, cause he is pretty outplayable due to how easy it is to win all-ins vs him.
