Dunkey was both wrong and right about that: if you play well it punishes you by placing a bounty on you which will call everyone to focus you down over and over again; however, there are characters or and entire class of characters *cough* mages *cough* that are just so effortless you don't need to play well to win with them, just get enough gold to get their items to grant the stupid powerspike and easily push all other enemies aside because you're a mage. so when those players get the bounty, i make a life mission to hunt them down over and over and over again, even when they aren't worth anything anymore.

Yikes! Yes and no. The problem with the bounty system is that it shuts down solo carry potential. Imagine your opponent makes a ton of mistakes and you abuse it and roam to get kills and get super fed, then you make one small mistake, die once and the opponent is back in the game, almost even with you. Bounties should help you making a comeback, true, but they shouldn’t be a free “Get out of jail” card: if you’re behind there’s a reason to it, you shouldn’t be able to go back even as easily as you can right now

Kaboom Baby The problem isn’t “a” bounty system. It’s “the” bounty system. A bounty system is a good way to give someone who’s losing a good comeback opportunity if they keep playing consistently better than their opponent after a shaky early game. The current early game system just reverses the lead with one single mistake, which is incredibly stupid. A comeback opportunity shouldn’t be blatantly in favor of the losing team; there’s a reason if they’re losing and making them come back in the game with just one right thing is just idiotic. Bounties should exist, but as they are now they’re terrible. Then again I don’t expect someone who argues “They stop mattering when everyone is full build” (considering it’s an incredibly small percentage of games when even just one person gets full build in the current meta) to understand anything about game balance

I 100% agree with hash on this one, why does autofill exist in low elo? Queue times in silver-gold elo before autofill was 3-5 minutes same as today every game one player is playing horribly and after game you go to their profile and find out your jungle is an adc main with 100k mastery on vayne.

not only that, sometimes i queue for adc and get autofilled support and my adc is also autofilled. why cant he be autofilled support and me on my main and instead we are both autofilled? im fine with me being filled if the guy in my role is an ad main, but if he is filled it tilts me

I think that there should be an option for players, for example, if i am fine with waiting more time for the position i want i should be able to be placed in certrain a queue for that and the rest of the people can simply have their own queue, there can even be a mix.

In the lower elos, most rather "casual" league players much prefer shorter q times, but more agency on roles. Back in the day, without role selection, shit hit the fan in almost every champ select. Least we got that done and over with.

There should be a 3rd position which is your autofill. So lets say you pick mid/sup and then autofill top. This way 10 players will have a lot of positions covered and it would not even affect the queue time tbh.

I 100% agree with this, I think they should have some kind of feature that turns auto fill off for the cost of extra long ques. I wouldn't care about waiting an extra 5-10 minutes to know that my support isn't auto filled or i get a mid main fill into jungle that asked to swap or feed.

That's why I can play all roles to perfection, except support, the only role I haven't mastered fully - and by this I mean I haven't mastered all classes of champs, I can't play enchanter supports (Lulu, Soraka, Sona, etc.) but I can play Thresh, Leona, Nautilus, Blitz, Morgana, Brand, Vel'Koz, Xerath. I think the best thing you can do in this game is to master 3-4 champs in every role, one at a time. Start one-tricking Aatrox top for a month, and if you play a lot that's a lot of games, then switch jungle for a month, then to mid, then to bot. This is the way I have mastery 7 on a couple champs in all roles. I mastered all the champions people have problems with (Yasuo, Zed, Riven, Vayne, etc.) and now I know what to do against them because I know them in and out. If you do this, you don't become a Jack of all trades - master of none. You just exponentially increase your game knowledge as a whole. A lot more than if you one-trick a champion for years. Most champions, you don't need more than 200-300 games to master, and that is easily 1 month for a lot of dedicated players.

For those who think removing autofill is a good idea.. It's not. It's definitely an annoying mechanic, but it's not feasable. It would massively increase queue times which people want to wait for less and less. In general, people today want stuff to go quick so anything increasing time is a massive detriment to the game and would cause players to leave. (hence why they also reduced the length of games over the years) Leaving players would then increase timers further. Also, it would not increase timers by just 3-5 minutes and, especially at high elos, it could lead to just never having games because ''those 10 guys who play X role aren't online right now''.

jungle should be immune to autofill, yes. you do not get the experience necessary to fill that role by laning. I don't understand pathing or when/how to rotate effectively while ensuring I keep up on my jungle farm, or anything like that. and every time I get stuck in that role, it's stupid stressful. it tilts me for the day. so yes, please, remove jungle autofill, if not removing autofill entirely.

not every role has a equal player base so autofill is a way to force match to have all 5 role to have a person playing and that in turn make queue time lower by alot so to anser your question not enough people want to play support in lol so if you choose autofill then 99% that you will get support role
