Hashtag United are a one-of-a-kind football and esports club, based in Essex, England. Formed in 2016 by Spencer Owen as a group of mates playing exhibition games, we now play in the 9th tier of English football, the Essex Senior League. We won our league in our first season in non-league football and were looking good for a second promotion when the 2019/20 season was voided. We merged with AFC Basildon Women in summer 2020 and formed our women's team, Hashtag United FC Women, who play in the 4th tier of women's football. We also now have 40+ youth teams, reserve and development teams...and not forgetting our esports team of Tom and Shawrey, who play at the world's highest level. A lot of these players seem pretty old or just not good enough even when some of them were playing against academy players I questioned why some of them were still there. Just because they have been at Hashtag for a few seasons doesn't mean you need to keep them its about staying up you need to prioritise the club not the names in the team.

Ngl, there is no pace anywhere in the team. Letting Osude go was a mistake. He was that impact player which was needed from 2-1 down. He won so many fouls and provided so many chances.

Tough result. Feel like a possible turning point was Lindsay missing the one-on-one to make it 2-0, but these things happen. I feel like the two centre backs need more protection. Really missing Farai's pace and recovery skills. I don't really understand why the team has moved away from 4-3-3, it seems llke every game teams are able to get on the ball between the defence and the midfield. Anyway, we go again.

Honestly, performance is to be expected as the quality of the opposition improves. Tough to play against good sides, especially away. Lindsay needs to be more clinical (had the great goal but plenty of easier chances that were wanting); defense in general has always been a Hashtag weak point (the players are good but the desire to get scrappy and go after balls, especially defending corners and set pieces, is lacking). Still, a solid showing, and I think HashTag is capable at being middle of the table this season, which is not bad.

Remember Hashtag didnt win a single game for like 5 or 6 when they first started. They will bounce back. However this form is a little worrying, but in Dev's we trust. Discipline needs to improve as well.

I’ve followed hashtags a while and what I’ve noticed recently is that gap between midfield and defence. Devs obviously wants to play fast counter attacking attractive football. But with the lack of pace in defence it leaves a lot of holes for these technical and pacey players. It’s almost like an attack and a defence. I know it’s hard to tell as well from KZbin as unfortunately I don’t live in an area where I can come and watch a live game. Still follow though. Up the Tags
