i like your comment of westerners choosing objectivity over subjectivity. its almost like one thing requires us to abandon de other. Ive seen some people say that Fathy was in touch with 'magic realism' like gabriel garcia marquez, and its interesting to me, because i can see the same connection, magic realism is different from regular realism because it has magic in it, it has folklore, and in the space of arquitecture, those sensibilities have been pushed out. look at the art work if mexican painter manuel lepe, it is similar to fathy, but he is just a folk painter, and not an arquitect. a picture of a dream like building, a fairy tale building is a sales pitch to the imagination, i also love fathy and i very much enjoyed your commentary of his work, thank you.

Let's focus on Hassan Fathy be one of the first true environmental architects. These buildings are not only low cost but they are designed in an ecological way to provide great ventilation, the dome shape moves air inside the buildings. In addition to being build from natural materials in the environment that doesn't disturb and have low carbon footprint
