Hasselblad Polaroid Back || Film Loading

This video shows how to load instant film into the polaroid film backs for the Hasselblad V system (500C, 500C/M, 501C, 503CW...). It will work for both Polaroid and Fuji film.
Fuji film is FP100C:

Thanks! Do remember that is windows inside the FP100c, making the effective size look small in the whole sheet. It can only do the 56x56mm from the Hasselblad.

@@NicosPhotographyShow So agree with you, we've to save some stocks of Fuji FP👍 Fortunately, I'm just checked one of only two photo studios that still accept film processing in my city, and there are some stocks of Fuji FP series in that studio...but of course, expired. The film pack I have now is the FP100c, expired 2013, always refrigerated from its fresh until today

Thanks, sadly the only film you could use today is the Fp100c, the normal "polaroid originals" (Impossible Project) wont work. Some people are building adapters to use Fuji Instax, but so far no commercial product has been sold massively. Sorry.

Yes, you can use this model for the V series (500, 501, 503cx, etc...) Just remember it's the Polaroid 100 back and that Fp100c is discontinued making it almost obsolete.

Good lesson. What is that streak of chemical on the negative? I have it coming out on my polaroid as well. Is it something that can be washed off later, following the negative reclamation?

Sadly Polaroid film for the 100 back is gone too. You can find some on eBay but prices are exorbitant.

It should be the same. Just be aware of the backs that use Polaroid 80 film as that was discontinued many years ago.

I really would like to know what happened if I break the cardboard when pulling it like you did? Is that batch ruined then? Coz if I open the back to fix it, then the film and paper would be exposed now with part of the cardboard ripped out right?

Not sure which model it will be, but in my opinion with the current prices of FP100c its not worth it on a smaller image. Best to shoot it with a camera that can expose all the film, not just a 56 x 56mm image.

I have a 500CM and I just received a Hasselblad 100 back. I have some old Polaroid 559 that I’ve been trying to use but when I take a photo and pull the white tab out it doesn’t release the photo part out, it just stays in the cartridge. Can you please help?

Nicos Photography Show Basically I had to clean out the back because it was very dirty with chemicals. One of the rollers is extremely hard to turn even after I cleaned it. I wasted a whole roll of film because when you pull the tab the photo won’t come out the back. I’m afraid to try another role. What do you think? One roller rolls very easily, the other extremely tough

Just watched it. If I were you I would return it to the ebay seller. Fp100c is very expensive and hard to source so I would make sure you have a working back. Also make sure the film is loaded correctly as if you miss the paper tongues being in the wrong way will not make the picture come out (I learned the hard way too). If you need a more detailed video let me know and I can do one when my back is empty.

Nope - I must be totally dumb. I pull the white tab and it just rips off. I examine the film pack and can't even understand how it could possibly work since the white tab with number "1" is attached to the film in the stack FURTHEST from the side facing the clear window and the white tab with the highest number, "10" is the one right against the exposure window.

+Minh Nhat To be honest, first curse a little bit, second as I wanted to show how to do it correctly I unloaded the pack of film and put a new one in. It has been the only time that happened, but I guess the remaining piece of paper would of come out with the first exposure.

+Minh Nhat I just came home and checked, if you have the same problem just go to a darkroom or changing tent and open the back, remove the paper and load again. Its just a simple video on how to load the back, I have never had issues with dust or rollers, but you are right, they can wreck your shots. I will try to make a good video showing how to clean it all and have it ready for a shoot. Thanks for the reminder.
