Meanwhile, I strongly suggest that KZbin influencers or professional users urge Hasselblad to update firmware for eye detection AF and AF-C, especially in lower light. Thanks again.

@mathphotographerАй бұрын
Thanks for the positive feedback. What Hasselblad in my humble opinion needs to do first is implementing continuous autofocus. Face recognition works well but if focus is not continuously updates its almost useless if you shoot models in the field or in the studio.
@mathphotographerАй бұрын
@@nelsonclub7722 Haha, the Hassy veterans come in :) You are right my friend but today many photographers expect continuous autofocus, face recognition, eye detection, etc. And Fuji shows in the GFX system how this looks like on medium format sensors. So I think we both should be mild and agree that our friend jaekim5397 makes a valid point although many of us use manual focus on many occasions with our Hassys :)

This is a brilliant demonstration Math - thank you so much! It does seem like the perfect product photography solution although the XCD 120 lens is now obsolete in the US. I tried it on a live model (not the intended use) with flash, and I found the multi-shot version to be a bit more specular but on a product I'm sure it would be ideal. I am puzzled by the increase in image size (>500MP) but, as you showed, the resolution remains at 100MP. The results are stunning. Thanks again!

The CFV 100c also gets a 4.0.0 firmware, but it only provides the necessary update for the recently announced lenses. No multi-shot for the 907x at this time, or ever assuming that IBIS is being used to accomplish this in the X2D.
@mathphotographerАй бұрын
Agree, makes perfectly sense. Since the sensor of the CFV 100c digital back is fixed mounted and not with IBIS, multishot cannot be implemented.

So, I have been experimenting with the new firmware, hoping to be able to use I the field. I decided that using the electronic shutter would be best to help keep the camera steady as not introducing any unintentional movement due to the shutter mechanism. Is there any reason you did not use this approach? I think it would be valid even in a controlled studio environment. It is also much faster as there is no shutter movement between the shots.
@mathphotographerАй бұрын
For product photography in the studio it is 100% safe to use electronic shutter. Because nothing moves in the scene, there is no danger of rolling shutter effects. Your comment is spot-on.

I might be wrong, but... I am mostly 100% certain the 907x will not get the update. Usually companies use the IBIS to do something like this. Since the 907x does not have IBIS I recon they simply cannot make it happen. I think it makes sense to use it tethered only. The H6D 400 had the problem that if you had a slight change in light / the tripod moved a little (due to steps for example) it was not able to generate the shots needed. Correct me if I am wrong. The steadier the camera the better. But yes. If you want to take a Landscape Shot and use a camera it should be possible. I agree.
@mathphotographerАй бұрын
You are spot-on Eugen. I checked for Firmware 4.0.0 for the CFV 100c out of curiosity but multishot will not be implemented for the CFV 100c on the 907X. Since the sensor of the CFV 100c digital back is fixed mounted and not with IBIS, multishot cannot be implemented because the sensor will not be able to perform a pixel shift. I should have mentioned that in the video.

@derrickduАй бұрын
Nice, Question: the multi shoot, does Phocus auto combine the four images into one final image? Also, can you do this from an iPad? I assumed you use MacBook because of the Holipad stacking software.
@bertagriese8282Ай бұрын
Yes, no is the answer to your 2 questions. Have both been mentioned in the video.
@mathphotographerАй бұрын
Multishot only works with Phocus for Mac, not with Phocus Mobile 2 on iPad. At least that's the case currently. On your first question: the multishot option shoots the four frames and Phocus for Mac combines these four shots automatically in one single frame with that "circled 4"-mark in the upper left-hand side corner of the thumbnail as shown in the video. So in contrast to multishot on Fuji GFX you do not have to import the 4 frames into another software and then combine the four into one frame.
