I think it'd be interesting to see, given that--as far as I'm aware--you haven't played such a game yet. Not to mention, Japan seems to be relatively slow early game, and I'm fairly certain that that period of time is much more crucial in deathmatch games than in supremacy ones.

All of you were good but props to red, he was crazy good with that 4v1, constant pressure and he lasted that long, and even gave you hell. His messages were a little bit weird, complaining about the 4v1, but I believe it was all just for fun and that he wasn't actually malding. I know I'd be way saltier than him with that onslaught for sure lol (I get salty even with AI becouse I'm a complete noob but still). And yes the Hatamoto are insane, if they didn't cost that much export per unit they'd be OP. First time I saw them when playing TAD I was like what the hell dude, how am I supposed to make enough export for a single squad of them with recruiting other units and buying the upgrades, let alone use them in an army? But then I got 10 of them and I saw how ridiculous they are by themselves, and I saw that losing one is a big deal becouse it costs so much to replace, that's when I started using healers becouse normal units are expendable when you get the economy going

The Consulate Crossbowmen have those kind of outfits because they are Guard level, specifically Royal Guard units of Portugal, only possible to upgrade through the Church Card Portugal has. Just letting you know if you didn't know it already! Love the video!

I would've lost a game with a Russian Op sneak attack, but I had a hunch the guy was gonna make a sneak attack coz he was not spamming as many units as Russia can, so I had 5 Hatamoto back at home base. They cleaned up quite well. After that, I had so much respect for these dudes :D

The Ikko-Ikki do the instant kill more often in melee, faster attack speed. Think it is called mountain warrior, cool card but luck dependent on finding good treasures to double.

Red just killin it haha russia is always insane late game- loved the hatomoto insanity! Really wish you had that card 'empress dowager' or whatever that turns your coin into export so you could truly spam them! I dont understand why you made mortars lol your infantry had so much seige? should have used yabusame against the artillery spam they have an 8 (!) Times multiplier its insane how good they are against artillery- anyways good game as always and i hope i can play you sometime during your japan review in a 1v1 or FFA!

How do you have 4 options for allies in the Japanese consulate? When I play I only have 2, Portuguese and Japan. Is it some kind of shipment?

It's related to your home city level. You get another option at level 20, if I'm not mistaken and the fourth one pops up a little while later.

So many great things about the Japanese, but hatamotos still come out on top. So many games single-handedly won by them. I still vividly remember when I had a squad of like 8 hatamotos blaze through an opposing Japanese base and onto a Dutch base. Dutch sent 40 ruyters assuming they could handle my squad, but mis-microed for a second and my squad _one shot_ the entire group of ruyters. Instant resign.

They need to nerf Samurai damage vs buildings, I mean keep other stats but the damage vs buildings is too high for a infantry unit, that needs some balance.

@Mirage_Panzer Bro they do more dmg vs buildings then some artillery in the game, of course Doppelsoldner also need some nerf on the dmg vs building, in age 3 walls are pretty much useless until they fix these infantry and cav with insane dmg vs buildings, for an exemple: a Culverin has 40 base dmg vs buildings, no way a infantry or cavalry can do more dmg then a cannon, in my opinion the max siege dmg a non artillery unit can have is something in ~ 30 base dmg. Another exemple of a broken unit: the Oprichnik has a 75 base dmg vs buildings, thats the same as a Light Cannon, how is that balanced?

@Mirage_Panzer Bro how can an infantry throwing fire do more DMG to a wall then a Culverin? Sure Culverin had a small caliber ball, but those went really fast, it would go strait thru any wall, that's why most pro players don't even bother to make walls, they need to nerf all the infantry and cav DMG vs buildings, this would not only make the game more fun, it would make other strategy's then rush actually usable, because right now all the enemy has to do is make a cav or pike box and destroy your factory's, all those lairs off walls and towers served for nothing because they fell in 15 seconds.

You get 680 food age up when sided with Portugal. They have the cheap building passive bonus. Also cheaper shrines for a shrine boom.
