There is a small bronze plaque on the massive rock in the circle. Pretty easy to miss. It reads... David C. Minor 1939-1990 Dave Minor, NPS Ranger, and BLM Recreation Planner, cheerfully worked for the public in the Needles and Canyon Rims area from 1968 to 1990

I didn't notice it. I sure do appreciate Minor's contribution to that area. Beautiful area!

Boy Mark, you hit the jackpot for fantastic scenery on this video location. I'll be putting this in my futures bucket. I think in two or three weeks, I'll be off on an extended sojourn into Mootana, Wyoming, Utah, and possibly more. Central Oregon, Steens Mountain Loop is calling me again. Page Springs is a wonderful BLM CG to sit and enjoy an evening glass of Port with sweetie. Take care...

I’ve got the camper, and motorcycle (dr650). I have one last son at home. Once he’s established I’m going to start doing a lot of the same things. It’s a big step from dreaming about it to actually doing it. Thanks for taking us along with you in the meantime.

Have you heard anything about ongoing litigation recording in National parks for the purpose of rebroadcasting?
@DispersedCamperMan
@DispersedCamperMan Жыл бұрын
The litigations are over. You are not allowed to video or take pics in National Parks and post them on KZbin without a commercial permit from that park. It's why I don't post videos on the national parks around here. There are several youtube videos that go into detail about it.

Hiseeu Battery Camp Camera, I have them connected to my star link wifi in camp. I have my star link plugged into my 1000 watt jackery that is being charged by solar during the day. I have my affiliate link to the camera on amazon in this video description if you want to check them out on amazon.

Could a 30 ft Class C handle all those roads?
@DispersedCamperMan
@DispersedCamperMan Жыл бұрын
You shouldn't have a problem. There were several campgrounds on that road with travel trailers and fifth wheels parked in them. It's a well maintained dirt road when I was there, but there were wash boarding spots the closer you get to my camping spot and anticline. The only spot I could find to disperse camp at was my camping spot. There were other spots, but closer to hwy 191. Hope this helps. Safe Travels!

What sort of app do you use for your camping reconnaissance?

OnX, google maps. OnX shows where all the BLM land is. I use it a lot to scout out areas I'm interested in exploring.

What’s that black hose coming out of your truck going over the edge of the cliff…?
@DispersedCamperMan
@DispersedCamperMan Жыл бұрын
It's not a hose. It's my 30 amp extension cord going to my generators. You can see the connection at this time frame. kzbin.info/www/bejne/m6SpZqp8aqaZkJY
@NigelNaughton
@NigelNaughton Жыл бұрын
Ahh.. I see. You put the gas generators away from the rig. Are you really using that much electricity that the solar isn't cutting it?
@DispersedCamperMan
@DispersedCamperMan Жыл бұрын
Yes, I sometimes do. As I said in the video, it was a very overcast day, not much solar going on. I'm not a weekend warrior camper, I full time year round. It's going to start hitting high 90's soon, solar doesn't run my A/C, I use generators for that. When all the solar campers stay home because it's to hot out, I normally have the outdoors to myself. Best way to camp.

When is the best time of year to go?
@DispersedCamperMan
@DispersedCamperMan 3 ай бұрын
Spring or fall. It's not to hot. But there are a lot of tourist spring and fall in Moab. If you like camping in the heat and set up with A/C in your RV or rig, I would go in the summer. The boondocking spots are emptied out. You normally get the area to yourself. But it gets scorching hot.

How long do you usually stay in one spot? The full 14 days?
@DispersedCamperMan

I usually stay about 4 or 5 days in one spot. A couple of times I've stayed 7 days. There are a lot of places I want to check out. So little time. ;-)
