Me and my pup stayed there about a week ago, what a great find. Really cool area, cheap $7 tent sites ($3.50 for me) and a bonus of a shower house makes the place very high on the list of places to return to. Really nice camp hosts this year too.

Hey Mark. I liked that area so much, I stayed a few nights. The area is full of history. Billy The Kid's last stand was in a small town a few miles away. Of course, the whole town is closed this time of year. Tons of history in the area. The Very Large Array is in the area. The Trinity bomb site, but its open 2 days a year. I think you already did White Sands. Thanks for sharing. Take care.

I wouldn't of minded to see the Very Large Array, next time I'm in the area.

Does weather affect your starlink signal? Cloudy, rainy, snowy?
@DispersedCamperMan5 күн бұрын
I’ve noticed electrical storms do. Snow, not so much as long as you keep the snow off the starlink.

Thanks Mark for sharing this place, it was a fav of mine, stayed 2 nights. the only cons to the place was the wind but it usually came in the afternoon, the sights & nature walk are outstanding! and if you use your national parks pass, its half price also, which mean full electric site for $9 and a tent camp site for $3.50, with all amenities like hot showers, flush toilets etc, cant beat it! a hidden treasure

@@DispersedCamperMan Do you actually get half off though? I've looked at some federal camping areas where the camping fee would be like $25, but that price was really a small base camping fee with several surcharges. So your half off would only get you half off $6 or $8, not half off $25.
