26:33 christ I've been getting so paranoid about the fact that seemingly whenever I look or move away from my phone while watching KZbin, an ad plays. Hearing that did not help

FYI the term "multiple personality disorder" is the older diagnoses and it's now called Dissociative Identity Disorder. There are some good channels on youtube that discuss it from the perspective of someone who deals with it. It's a very fascinating subject, but there is a ton of misinformation from movies and such. The more ya know!

Super interesting about the dreams and such. I've always been a lucid dreamer. It's tiring and sometimes quite scary depending on what happens!

Maybe the way to stop robots from out gunning us might just be designing in a bit of neurosis, existential dread, etc. into their subprocesses. Easier done than said.

Honestly, I think AI and the Idea of fully sentient AI is awesome, and would be a big benefit to humanity. I understand peoples reservations and fears, which are valid. But If an Ai was fully Sentient, it would be like a human. It could do both bad and good, but that comes down to what the AI itself wants to do. So It's not guaranteed that a fully Sentient AI would actually be evil, and if there was. Which is possible, I have no doubt that other AI would fight against said evil AI. Our fear and Reservations are ok, But I am personally afraid of us staying away from it for too long. Like for example, Let's say the government, Recognized what a car is or at least what a powered motor vehicle is. But decides to be very cautious and take exploring cars very slowly. If that was the case, we might not be as developed as we are now. I think we need to find that sweet spot of being cautious but also willing to adapt and explore AI otherwise we might end up putting ourselves back a few years or more. At least from a technology point of view. At many points of history, we as people, have come across the unknown. And we had the choice to either stay away from it until we felt like crossing into the unknown or Crossing it. Like lewis and clark for example, they didn't know what they were getting into. Let alone that they would be venturing into the unknown territory of America. For all they knew, there could be Creatures the size of bears that stood on two legs and eats people. Yet they still took that chance and crossed that line. They could've walked away and doing so would have changed the entire history of the world. But they didn't, despite being scared of the unknown. They decided to step across that line and see what happens. With some level of caution and preparedness. I think we should do the same thing, and not let our fears hold us back. AI can do such wonderful things, Medical, social, technical. The sky is limitless for AI and working hand in hand with AI. Would be a huge benefit to humanity.
