It's great to see that after 12 years of podcasting, people still can't tell Ross and smiff apart

For the record, as somebody who was born in 2000, social media numbers really didn't matter at all in my school. It's possible that that has changed in middle school (grades 6-8), since smartphones weren't super ubiquitous for teens/preteens at that time, or that it's different in the UK, but I doubt it's changed that much. Nobody really cares about how people interact with you on the internet when you're interacting with them face to face on a daily basis, in my experience.

do people really have that much trouble telling Ross and Smith apart? maybe its just because I'm from the same part of England but I don't hear the similarity at all

When I first started listening to them when they were playing the very original minecraft, I assumed Ross and Alex were the same guy. But once you start listening a lot you eventually get it and I'd never confuse them at this point.

I think Nudity is a british issue. If you look over europe you will see they are much more liberal about it. They even have nudity in their tv adverts and no one blinks an eye at it as its their normal.

Given a choice, it'll be a long time from now before I'm comfortable driving a vehicle with a lot of the extra "safety" features of a Tesla. I'm fine with the rear cameras, and the blind-spot indicators. That much I'm good with. The second the car starts using them to mess with my driving? Until the car is the one in full control, no thank you. People talk about 'backseat driving' in a negative context for a reason. If you physically make it possible for the backseater to control the vehicle, it just sounds like an unnecessary complication.

Yeah, if he's getting vac'd on the internet (twice now). Just imagine the things he might have done in his super youth!

Smith and Trott are right with Britain and history. I think England has a fascinating history but we focus on it way too much. We are so averse to modernisation and progress. I care more about my future than our collective past and I love reading about history. I just want to feel like we're heading towards something good and not sleepwalking into a meat grinder.

I think the coronation probably brought in more money than it cost to hold. Whether it would have been more efficient to invest in some other method of generating revenue, I don't know.

Kids are kinda scary right now but I think they have a right to be. Imagine being 12 or 13 and just starting to figure out how absolutely fucked you are and just how little your parents or grandparents care... If they are willing to acknowledge it at all. "Just go get a job and work your way up like I did".
