I've been meaning to write a poem about how to deal with haters for a few weeks now. This popped into my head on Tuesday morning so I decided to recite it for you. It's directed at people who feel that in order to gain a sense of worth they have to tear others down. Its also an invitation to see how childish this attitude is, and that mature men can see though it.

Very nice video Elliott. It exemplifies personal growth. When we are young, we often feel the need to attack every challenger to prove our worth. As you grow and mature, you realize that not everything is worth your time and energy to prove right or wrong.

Mr. Hulse, I have gotten so much good information and wisdom from you. Always gotten the vibe that you put out, is extremely healthy, honest and is about the many layers of strength that there is, from physiological, psychological to spiritual. You know, my father only got bigger as I grew up. And, that was because I had a different perspective on how he used his strength. Because, as I saw that he was using his physical, intellectual and emotional strength to empower, nuture and protect others, he became a giant. Continue to do the same, young blood.

Great poem, it reminded me of the trials and tribulations of boys becoming men. Boys "run and run in circles" repeating the same mistakes, confusing violence and anger for answers to problems, being scared, not knowing what path they should take. He also makes it a bit hard to tell when the boy is speaking or the man is speaking I think on purpose, to show us that they can be the same person, no one ever fully matures there is no end he still feels like a boy in a park too....or I'm wrong.

Elliott, that was truly beautiful man, strong and meaningful words from a steady hand; I found you while gazing from a random click, an admirer and subscriber now I have turned quick. The words you speak, and how you speak them; make my ears grow large and my heart turn to listen. You know a lot and spread your earnings, but know that you too are still learning. And because I feel your true sincerity, the lessons you teach me shall bring much clarity. Thank you again Elliott.

A true leader builds others up and a jealous boy tears people down. Elliott shares his insight with the world to make it a better stronger place, and if people have a problem with it don't watch! Don't subscribe, don't listen. The boys interest shows his intimidation and own weakness. Rock on Elliott you inspire us all.

I too think that we are the collection of our experiences. That includes our experiences of making choices (obviously not by free will). Maturity is a hard concept to define. I define a mature person as someone who is responsible for their actions. In other words, an adult. This takes a childhood to learn, but many people missed out on those to some degree and must learn the hard way, through pain. But how we deal with or defend against that pain defines what and how much we learn.

I get what you are saying. Glad it worked for you, other people may have similar problems, but due to DIFFERENT reasons. For a lot of people, simply saying "It's your own fault for feeling intimidated" etc doesn't work, or even makes them feel worse! I'd say your approach is worth a try, but dont expect it to work all the time.

"What you think is toughness, I see as lies." Right on. So many fakes out there. The lies is trying to be someone we're not. People try to put you in a cage and confine you, and this is was many people perceive as a battle. But in fact, there is no battle, once you realize that you are the man and all the others still afraid.

Maybe because you haven't gone through what Elliot is referring to, Rediscovering your true masculinity not the one that society tells you but the one inside that lies in your nature as a human being. The yin and yang coming together, the alignment of masculine and negative energies in the body, mind and body becoming one. All just terms for reaching enlightenment i.e true maturity Elliot is ahead of the curve but every day I see more and more people waking up. Some bright days are ahead.

When a rookie challenges a veteran. The stronger, more experienced man, has to be more mature and even after defeating the young lad, the elder knows how to condition this new seed to grow into the tree that he himself is. Whether explicitly or silently, when a grown man tells you you are wrong at doing something, he is not competing with you, but if you want to go, he will love to show you your place. It makes perfect sense.

I dont know why you got so many dislikes, its a good concern. Right, you cant "just" get rid of those thoughts. Its a hard path you have to go. You need to change your whole way of thinking. The first step is to recognize everytime you feel like a kid, or you feel intimidated and then change the way you think in that very moment. Higher yourself and find things that make you better, there are things where you are better. I really recommend "thinking big" by David J. Schwartz. Its gonna help you.
