Years ago, I had a good friend who just happened to be very pale naturally. We went to the park with our kids and noticed other mothers that we'd previously seen only with their makeup on. The women had obvious sun damage. For reasons, I don't understand, those women started mocking in a passive aggressive way my friend for being so pale and told her she needed to tan. When they left, I told my friend to ignore them because her skin was beautiful. Weirdly when I tried to defend my friend and brought up sun damage as a consequence of over tanning, one of the women angrily asked me if she had damaged her skin. Like what was I going to say? "Girl, you're 26 and already wrinkled like a raisin." No, I didn't say that. LOL

Looking at how she appears so different from those who fake tan or spray tan, I wondered if these injections basically increase your skins melanin so that when you do get exposed to sun or UV your skin reacts and looks like someone with a darker skin color. So it really does make her look like she is black. Can't be without side effects. I agree with all the comments saying love and be ok with who you are because its just a slippery slope of insecurities and hating your body no matter what the issue is.

I grew up in Scotland where we also don't have sun and it really seems like tanning is a competition with certain types of people, like they are all competing to see who can be the darkest without looking too orange. They will make fun of natural pale skin (which most people there have because it's Scotland) and say 'you should try a spray tan' 'you need to go to a tanning salon' etc. It is sad, it's like they all pressure each other to do it and act like it's ugly to not have a fake tan like that.

In biology class way back in highschool, I remember talking about DNA, and looking at the dna chain, and cancer got brought up (dna, genetics, etc) and basically, If someone got cancer in your family, and didn’t do anything to modify their DNA chain, it’s genetic, and can be passed down to further generations. But, also, smoking, drugs, chemicals, all those things can modify your DNA chain and cause cancer, so if it runs in your family you’re prone and can actually be tested to see if you have the “code” in your DNA, and if it doesn’t run in your family you have to be careful about like what chemicals, and things you have in your day to day life. Science is wild. And I have no idea of how I worded that made any sense. Love your videos ❤

Ken gives all of that, smart and positive notes, good metafors and other great speeches and comments. It's like your parent telling you whats right or wrong in a calming trusting way. I love that about Ken. I hope you all are doing great

This is just sad. People that bleach their skin or darken their skin are told "you are not beautiful" "you are ugly" You are not attractive" and people then try to do whatever they can to be loved, accepted, deemed beautiful, and its just heartbreaking. People are just going to attack her but what people need to do is HELP HER. Help her love herself. instead of tryna change her appearance to please others and lie about why she did it. Also, if people have an issue with this they need to tell non white people to stop doing it too!!

I was always made fun of in the weirdest ways for being pale all my life and the one time I had a bathing suit I actually liked on me one summer the stupid adults (mostly the men) in the step family saw me and took not even a second to all collectively go “Omg your legs are blinding me 🤣” and actually thought it was funny. Keep in mind I was still a young minor at the time and it carried into 18 to 19 and never stopped. I came downstairs from my room for the first time of the day to go pee and came down in a tshirt and shorts in my own house and they were there too and said the same joke. It’s the same joke from the same people every time I saw them, bruh I’m in my house trying to use my bathroom and get something to drink. I didn’t even laugh and I just kept doing what I came down to do. My mom was mad that I didn’t laugh with them at myself. It’s not that funny, and my body isn’t a joke to me so thanks. It just makes no sense to me, my mom even tried to give me fake tans before when I didn’t want them and I looked so bad in school all patchy and too dark when I didn’t even want it.

The reason you're not seeing the blxxkface is because of the region you're searching. In the UK it does pop up. The reason she tans AS WELL AS injects is for the maintenance of that colour tan. She likely also is 'tan blind' whereby you get used to it quite quickly. That happens even with spray tan; it's always best to have a friend or family member say when that's enough and the shade is perfect for you.

If you gonna inject and keep on injecting yourself with melanotan, then you know full well what you're doing. Don't surprise pikachu or be upset when someone calls you out for it. It's one thing to get that horrible orangey tan on a light skin (spray tans, sun beds etc) for the die hards, but it's another thing to pass yourself as a black woman when you're not.
@RR-on4sk

Melatonin is what you take to sleep. You meant melanin. That's the chemical every human being makes when the cell releases it as a response to uv. All the injections do is skip having to damage the skin with uv to get the response from the body. It was created to help people that are at a higher risk of skin cancer. I guess I'm surprised you be more okay with her covering herself in body paint than using a shot or seeing her tan the old fashioned way, risking cancer.

But THIS shit is truly ridiculous bc when you say something, you get told to shut up and that it's "not that serious". But let me go nuts with bleaching MY skin and see how quick I get told to "stop trying to be white".

As an African American woman, I will say that I think she’s blackphishing. I wouldn’t have said that if she wasn’t wearing African American hairstyles and what not, but she is. It’s different from a tan white girl because people of color have been constantly criticized for looking a certain way, but we cannot just take off our color or culture, while those same people who criticize us can just put it on. I have no problem with this people tanning, but somebody’s race is not a trend.

She was president of our NAACP and worked as a black rights activist (WHILE PRETENDING TO BE BLACK) She was caught when her PARENTS actually called her out on media/news. There were several news stories and interviews and it might be interesting to watch if you wanted to, Ken. It’s pretty hilarious/stupid. She has since “stepped down” from her position. As someone who used to be addicted to tanning for many different reasons. I started when I became an x- dancer. Which because I wore a Brazilian bikini bottom while tanning (which gives the illusion of a smaller butt) D.J’s in the clubs used to joke about being able to read a book in the dark next to my white butt. I continued to tan very heavily into my late 30-early 40’s. It covers up any flaws you have on your body, like cellulite or stretch marks. I tanned so much my husband & I purchased 3 salons here in Winnipeg. Then I don’t know what happened I guess I got to busy with working & doing lash extensions that I would only power tan for vacation’s. I’ve sold my studio’s due to Covid & have a tanning bed in my home but rarely use it. When I do I only tan my face for max 5-10 minutes. Cover it cause all the 30 years has made my face wrinkly & I get Botox regular & every couple of years filler. I want to slap people like this cause I know the damage. Not to mention her eyes open. Eyewear is so important. It’s regulated now. I suffer from night blindness driving from early years of not having to wear eyewear. Your eyelids are the thinnest & your ruining your sight. My salons were regulated on how long a person could tan & our max was 25 minutes. They would have to start at 6-8 minutes & work their way up to not burn & get skin cancer. Cause the sunburn is what initially gives you skin cancer. I guess I’ve slowed down because I haven’t vacationed since 2020 & some of my customers would nauseate me about begging to be able to tan longer. It took me having strict rules & learning the effects to stop my own addiction to it. Edit: some of her tan would have to be bronzer as well. I got dark but no one gets that dark.

I’m so scared of the damage I may have caused. I grew up being fried at least once by the sun every summer. Then when I turned 17 I tanned in a tanning bed At least a few times a month I don’t even remember. I stopped sometime after turning 18.5 I do remember a couple burns from the bed that would make me itchy and flaky for a few days tho. 😭 I’m almost thirty and I don’t see the damage yet but I feel so stup!d. I just wanted to be pretty and bronzed up when I was younger.

She says she's not trying to switch race like people believe, that she just likes to be tanned. Yet, I cannot say that I've seen someone get surgery to make their nose larger and thicker. Most people want the nose that she had naturally, they don't typically go bigger. Then there's her lips, but pretty much everyone gets lip injections now. As well as her hair and of course her skin. Leave it to a white person to want to switch race physically, without understanding the implications behind doing so. As well as the privilege to be in a position to never have to go through what a black individual has to, just on the basis of their skin colour.
