I find it's much easier to just close your eyes when it cuts to Smiths gameplay. He's a primitive man, from before Euclid and geometry was really written about, you can't change that. He's much more worried about developing fire and a spoken language to focus on golf.

Our school got progressively worse regarding just about everything from food to strictness of uniform. I got caught drinking something "unhealthy" (can't remember what) and I was one of those kids that felt really bad for doing anything wrong. HOWEVER, thanks to my background forcing me to hate waste, he asked me to hand him my drink, I downed the remaining quarter and then had the audacity to hand him the empty bottle. It didn't even register that I was doing something "wrong" because this man was about to take my drink as if I had money to go buy another (I did not)

The whole lizard thing is a gross misunderstanding of biology. Human brains, like all vertebrates, have a brainstem and cerebellum that controls all the vital organ functions and subconscious actions such as breathing/movement/balance. This arrangement is loosely referred to as the lizard brain because an early neuroscientist called Paul Maclean hypothesized that each of the 3 layers of the brain was an evolutionary development with lizards thought to be the earliest example of such an arrangement. This is, of course, false being that our brains didn't evolve from lizards (amphibians being the nearest relative to both lizards/mammals) and fish have the same arrangement which pre-date lizards by some 250 million years.

We wasnt allowed any liquid whatsoever unless it was water. Even if we had bought juice or sparkling water from the canteen itd immediately be confiscated or thrown away. Secondary Schools had really strange specific rules to abide by, can go to bet the amount of 35p energy drinks and lucozades being thrown out daily was a metric tonne!
