I love Craig's suggestion to just get a goggle filled with water around your eye to keep it moist. That's what the eye is: a fluid filled sack. The problem is the sac needs to be kept moist. Making another layer of constant fluid would just keep pushing it back because, at some point, there'd need to be some mechanism to keep the outside of the eye from drying out.

In answer to Smiths question regarding two cars being alongside going into a corner - In racing conditions the car on the inside must leave a cars width on the outside of the corner and the car on the outside must leave a cars width on the inside. It is only considered your priority if you are clear of the other car, if they even have so much as a front wing alongside you must leave room. During qualifying this shouldn't really happen because you will try to avoid being close to other cars to avoid compromising aerodynamic grip and lap time, a 1-2 sec gap will generally be aimed for and if the car ahead aborts their lap it is their responsibility to get out of the way or face a penalty. This isn't so much of an issue in real racing because of the relative skill/performance of competing drivers where speed differences will be fractional and the decision to compromise a corner will be based on how much overall performance will be lost by doing so, there is no point squabbling over one position if it allows the chasing cars to catch you both or cars ahead to extend their lead.
