The reason why it’s so appealing to listen to songs like this when you’re sad and down, is because even tho it’s a sad song, it’s comforting, and it’s like you’re listening to the only person who can understand you.

I used to listen to this song when I was going through dark times (family abuse, self destruction, suicidal thoughts...). I was lost. Now I listen to it and I cry, but of happiness, how much life has given me: a home, a husband a kid and a body and mind stability. This song helped me a lot. I truly do love the Deftones version, but it will never hit the same way this does. Especially in this live version, the despair and emotion in Morissey’s voice is priceless. He sings it so well like he’s hurting from the bottom of his heart, he’s clearly on the verge of crying and I think that’s beautiful. There aren’t many lyrics to the song but then again his voice describes the feeling so well, like truly just wanting one thing and one thing only. I hope everyone gets what they want 'cause this is painful

И как иначе песня звучит с фразой «Let me have WHO I want».

Hoy, solo me quedan memorias juntos, y esa frase estrujada que solía repetir: "For once in my life, let love who i want...".
