Such a genius with a guitar...Rarely a solo..Just nuances and textural subtlety that touch the soul, without showboating. Respect to this man.

There’s not many solos his rhythm guitar is the entire song. Absolutely the best rhythm guitar sing writer ever. All Smiths songs started with his guitar being the the song, Morrissey just added lyrics.

I just watched Morrisey's version and then this. They're both different but equally beautiful. I can't even imagine watching them do this song together. I feel like they both play this song with such emotion because this song has taken on new meaning. If you search Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want Live on KZbin, you get Morrisey and then Marr. They both perform the hell out of the song. It's almost creates this "This song says exactly what drove us apart. We both have what we want and now we are apart. It's bittersweet" It's truly sad and you can see it in their faces. I wonder if they think about their time in the Smiths more when they do this song than any other song.

I think this is better than the original. I know Marr isn't as good a vocalist as Morrissey, but he's still a good singer, and moreover the guitars on this are as good as on any performance he's ever given. The way the meandering, teasing opening segues into the song, the superb solo, plus the beautiful ending he's given it, with THAT final chord. Perfection.

It goes without saying that this performance is sheer brilliance in every way. I would add that although band reunion tours are a dime a dozen, a Smiths reunion tour would be massively successful. Smiths / Morrissey fans have spent decades living with this music, and many are in their 40's - 50's. The devotion to the Morrissy / Marr brand is hard to overstate and it never really ends. Who is your favorite all time band? "The Smiths." Who is your second favorite all time band? "I don't have one."

This is the most beautiful song I've ever heard. I will even go as far as to say It's even better than The Smiths version or Morrissey's. he added to it even better and made it all his own. He needs to release this version! Breathtaking. I'm so happy I got to see him play this live. Fantastic!

Beautiful intro to an underatedly timeless and beautiful song. Crazy how young they were when they wrote this - a talent that many could live a lifetime just to get near, and only for just one song

Not many guitarists that are instantly recognisable by their tone . Marr is definately one of them and what a beautiful sound he creates .
