Update for mine. I just tried this on mine. 5 and half inches in the pelet dropped loose all the way down the barrel. Wish I tried this 9 months ago. All good, lesson learned. New to spingers. All of your videos are great and informative. Next time I get a springer,i will apply things i have learned from you.

I found your channel a few days ago and, after watching a few videos, subscribed. I’ve had my Hatsan Mod 95 for 3 years (bought used), and have never had a problem with it (mechanical or accuracy.) I own several other break barrels: UMAREX , GAMO, Benjamin & BEEMAN models. My Mod 95 has been a very hard hitting, reliable break barrel … I love it! I consistently get sub 1 inch, 10 shot groups at 21 yards with 14.3 CPHP’s (Bench rest & 3-9 variable AO scope). I’m sorry that you obviously got a bad one, but others I shoot with have also had good experiences with theirs.

Thank you for your subscription and great comments 😃👍. I contacted Pyramyd Air yesterday through email, hopefully they will get back to me soon. I would definitely like to try another Hatsan 95 22. I did like how it functioned, build quality, wood stock, looks, but the minus bad barrel. I was warned by Michael Englesworth Stepping Stone not to buy the Hatsan. If Pyramyd Air takes care of the shipping, I will send for a new one. Hopefully the next one will be a good one🙂👍.

Hatsan has great designs and they use great materials. What they DO NOT seem to do is Quality control. There seems to be no one at the end of the assembly line making sure defective units never leave the factory. You may have to buy 3 or 4 for each one you keep. In other words, YOU are quality control. It's a pain but I have put up with it because when you get a good one it's pretty great actually.

I have checked all of my guns, they all have a little variance as pushed through the bore, but that is not good. I have to use a long skewer to push mine through. Finding the right diameter pellet helps. I have one that I may try polishing to get rid of a tight spot.

I have plenty of good spring piston rifles, I just wanted to try the Hatsan 95. I think that the Hatsan 95 has lots of potential, depending on quality control at the factory 🏭. I will contact Pyramid Air today and see if they will take it back and do a pellet to bore test for me on a nother Hatsan 95. If they will not do a pellet to bore test, I will have them send me a new one, but I will tell them this one will go straight back to them again if the barrel is not good 🙂👍.

I pushed a few pellets through my 22 cal 125 Sniper Vortex QE. Findings are interesting. The bore seems uniform. With Crosman 14.3gr HP, the rifling only engraved the dome, and others engraved the dome and the skirt. With the JSB 18.13 gr, all pellets were engraved on the dome and the skirt. Maybe during firing, the air pressure is enough to expand the skirt into the rifling? I'm not sure. Both pellets shoot well in my 125, but the JSB shoots a bit better. The 125 QE only has 11" of rifles bore, the rest is all the muffler.

@@springpistonriflefeverlone9611 I’ve also got a Hatsan Mod 95 and really struggled with it. It’s shooting quite well now but I don’t see myself ever buying another gun from that brand. Last night I discovered I couldn’t do the test like you did as the auto loading style breech prevents direct access to the breech end of the barrel.

@@airgunsofalaska I actually like the Hatsan 95 quite a bit. The first one really put me off. The second one that came with a gouged breach seal and scratched barrel was not very impressive either. After putting in an after-market ballpoint pen 🖋️ "spring" totally transformed what was shooting good, to shooting great. The main problem with them (Hatsan) is quality control. I definitely believe I would look forward to purchasing a Hatsan 95 in 177. I like the idea of 25 caliber, and I had the 125 in 25 caliber, but I didn't like the idea of the price for the pellets, lol.

@@springpistonriflefeverlone9611 the gun looks really nice but I don’t care for the very unrefined shooting feel with the vibration and recoil. My 95 was $76 less expensive than my Diana 34 I bought the year earlier (‘15) and the Hatsan came with a scope. It’s likely not fair to compare them due to cost as the Diana is just some much smoother and easier to shoot. I’ve now discovered with three different break barrel guns over the past 19 years that powerful and less expensive equals difficult and unpleasant to shoot for me. My newest gun, the Magfire Extreme has been very disappointing.

After struggling with accuracy with my 95 I did the pellet test and the pellet dropped from breech to muzzle freely with just the weight of the aluminum cleaning rod. I bought a replacement barrel from Hatsan which arrived with a heavily rusted bore. After a frustrating back and forth I got a refund. Now I'm searching for a good replacement barrel. It's a good rifle on the whole, but 4 inches at twenty yards doesn't cut it. any suggestions on where to look?

@@brentboykin-hicks-tk1nq Sorry about the luck of the draw for you.😕 My Hatsan 95 22 caliber had a rusty boar also, lol. I scrubbed it really good and it turned out to be an accurate rifle. I really wish that Hatsan would get their act together. My guess would be to try another barrel from Hatsan USA or wherever you are located. If it has some rust in it, I would scrub it out with a brass brush and even polishing the barrel would help remove the rust. I would do your pellet to bore test first after a basic cleaning to make sure that it is a good barrel. I think to buy a Lothar Walther barrel, and then try to remove the old barrel out of the breach block is going to be very tough, unless you know how or you know someone who can work on it for you.
