Remember back when I was complaining that over here 0.30 cal were so difficult to come by? I designed my own .30" 79 grains 0.472" OAL boat tail bullets. Mold arrived last week, first batch was cast today. They'll be shot out of the Evanix Rex Rifle and the Evanix Rex KT carbine, mainly for over-100 yards shots.

That is a bunch of air at 3650 ish psi. It was putting out the power, accuracy, and all that plus 40 shots per fill. I can see why you like it. I would definitely consider cascade filling it from (2) 4500 psi tanks. Just because of the high fill pressure.

When I tested the Hercules at the Texas Air Gun Show I noticed that the cocking action was really rough did you guys feel the same with the demo sent to you? I liked shooting it but I did feel for the price it should feel smoother
@AirGunWeb8 жыл бұрын
It cocks heavy because of the heavy hammer spring. It does smooth out, but the effort to cock is still there. If it were my gun, I'd pull it apart, debur the mechanism, lube it correctly and reassemble it. It makes a huge difference. This gun was shot "factory" so none of that was done. After a couple of thousand of rounds it was much better.. cheers AGW

+SOUTHERN GUNNER - I've allowed you all to continue your "discussions" here and I'm happy to continue to do so, provided they stay civil. I understand that you have issues with Cecil please take those to your channel or his channel moving forward. I don't remember Cecil calling you a "liar." I believe he found it hard to believe the numbers you were getting. How is that any different from what Lloyd is claiming about us making the results go one way or another. Think of it logically. If we wanted to oversell the product.. Wouldn't we inflate the velocities rather than deflate them? In effect we are stating that the rifle shoots with less power than you are claiming. If we were wanting to "cook" a test there are plenty of ways to do it. That's not what I'm about (Yes this is Rick answering here). And, I know that's not what Cecil is about either. Unfortunately you all got off on the wrong foot which is too bad as both of you love the product and love Airguns. Had any of you all given the others the benefit of the doubt (asked respectfully for clarification in private rather than throw accusations in public) rather than jumping to the worst possible conclusions, this could have all been avoided and we all could have learned from each other rather than everyone trying to be more "right" than the next. I've reviewed guns for over 9 years now.. Two guns from the same lot can shoot very differently. And you know what, that's ok. It doesn't make one more right than another.. Just different. My suggestion to manufacturers has always been to test multiple random samples, but none will allocate inventory for that purpose. Maybe one day. I hope that you all will take a moment and regroup and consider the bigger picture here. Cheers AGW
@AirGunWeb8 жыл бұрын
+SOUTHERN GUNNER - Oh I get it.. And my last email was to all involved Cecil included. Unfortunately I believe there were some issues between you and Cecil from well before this video. I'm sorry that it carried over here because it detracts from the over all point of this video, to show off a pretty freaking cool Airgun. As I look around, most folks are just trying to do the best they can with what they have. There are many that will often run me into the ground for one reason or another. Look, everyone's entitled to their own opinion and some may very well have had drastically different experiences with the same products. In my early days I would get quite confrontational. There's just no time or reason for that anymore. I've learned that folks will just believe what they want to believe, often in the face of hard facts. What I'm hoping will happen here is that we all learn to give each other, all parties, the benefit of the doubt first, understanding the realization that there are so many variables that can cause folks to get wildly different results out of the same product. Hopefully we can all get back on track and get back to what's important. Getting people excited about what modern Airguns can really do. Cheers AGW
@lloydraynes41288 жыл бұрын
I did not dispute the your findings (originally) I implied that they were flawed due to not topping off the air rifle for each pellet weight simple as that. Due another vid but this time only change one variable..the pellet weight.... should be a short 5 minute vid. You mentioned that by the time you got to the 44/75's there had been 15 shots done already... That is close to 40 percent of the as you called it, usable shots....the tube psi pressure had to be sigificantly lower for the second string (44.75). Cecil said start with the 50.15 because he had been shooting the 44.75 all day.....what on earth does that have to do with an fpe test other than Cecil knowing the tube pressure would be lower and the test results would be skewed. I would suggest that if you had shot the 44.75 pellets first the the 50.15 pellet would not have hit 106 or even 100 fpe..... Rick I like you and have no problem with your reviews at all, and I assure you that I have watched all if not most of your reviews....I found them all well done and informative. I have seen a screen shot of the post where he call SG a liar...that magically disappeared....Yes he did! Rick, I feel that YOU are a straight up fella on the other hand....not so much.
@AirGunWeb8 жыл бұрын
+Lloyd Raynes - the issue here is that this is my review... the language you used very clearly accused us of "cooking" the test to our benefit. Not only this review, but implied all of them. That is expressly no different than one or another calling each other a liar. I picked how we tested this gun and with a specific reason in mind. I wanted results from the core of the shot curve not on either end as I believe it's a more realistic view. I believe I stated that in some other comments. For whatever reason there's animosity between you all and Cecil. What a waste of effort and time.. For what? I'm asking that everyone cool it, count to 10, and give everyone the benefit of the doubt. Don't we all love Airguns? Don't we all enjoy shooting them? Aren't we all saying basically how awesome they are? Then what's the big rub? Someone got different results, someone tested in a different way. So What? On another note. Last time I checked everyone of us are imperfect, can make mistakes and even mis-speak at times. If we want people to give us grace and mercy when we make an error then we need to do the same with others. Just consider the potential upside here if all Airgunners worked together vs at each other. Cheers AGW
@lloydraynes41288 жыл бұрын
yes, it was your review...but based on what sg got in his review and Cecil got in his review then something must not be kosher....is the gun you reviewed the same gun that Cecil used....if so how do you account for the differences. The 50.15 were at the beginning of the curve and the 44.75 were more at the core....shots 5 thru 15 vs shots 16 thru 26 I fail to see how that give a fair rep to both fps/fpe on both pellets. Oh and stating a "cooked" test is more polite than cecil calling sg an out right liar. The term cooked does not mean lied....simply put it means to alter the variables to achieve the desired results...far far far from calling someone a liar. A liar gets one result and reports a different one...you did not do that. you just allowed too many variables to change between pellets. your suggestion now of how the gun performs in the shot curve was not stated in the video...now that is something new. Stop changing the shooting parameters of the video with each comment. The video was somewhat fluffy... and at least 3 people pointed that out , I was just more vocal as was SG

why are both pellets shooting at the same fps?
@AirGunWeb8 жыл бұрын
Both pellets were shot off the same fill the 50.15 first then the 44.75's, you will notice the difference in FPE between the two pellets. Cecil has noted that the first 10 shots off a full fill will be pushing a little over 100 FPE then the next three 30 shots will be between 90-99 FPE. The rifle will continue to give you "usable" shots for another magazine and a half but they start to lose FPE a lot quicker with each shot after #40. Cheers AGW

Was considering getting one of these in .177 What tank are recomended in size for 1 or 2 fillings..? The more specific the better. and best Is a hand pump any alterative/possible for using on this one? Dont have that good access to filling air tanks here so would be easier over time for me if it works. On the other hand I could go for the Gamo Magnum/IGT for easier use and maintenance, and dont need to think about the refills...what do you think? I'm shooting a couple of times a month (3-5times) maybe, and target practice only. Have an hunting rifle in 308win for the other stuff, but now i want something for use in "the backyard".. Thank for any reply.

Why buying this rifle instead of the Fx gladiator mk2???????? I can achieve 120 to 130 regulated shots from 220 to 130 bars with groups close to the moa at 110 yards (with the .25 model). Price are creally close with the Hercule. Ok if you look for anything above .25 buy this hercules but for anything lower dont be dumb and go for the Gladiator without any doubt.

Indeed. What this? 32m? More like 31m - because you have to add the gun length. I make 2-3 inch groups at 90-110m with gas piston Hatsan 125 spring airgun, which is less than 40 joules at 5,5mm cal. and standing stance without any support. Sitting behind the bench, using 6,35mm Hatsan Galatian PCP airgun with 9 shots it is 1.5" hole at 120m! No bench rest or even bags with sand.
