This song is about what it's like to have an anxiety attack. The mouths are representations of the negative thoughts she has about herself (which is why they say "BAKA"). The pain comes from the attack itself, since hyperventilating for a few minutes makes people very light headed. It can make people feel like they're floating and/or that they're dying. The scary figure comes from paranoia that anxious people have, they worry about anything and everything that could hurt them. The double mouths dancing at the end could represent that she's at a point in her attack that she can't think rationally at all anymore, and that's why she's not being shown. But meh, this is just coming from someone who has attacks, so I might be biased.

My belief from the word hyperventilation is that this girl was hyperventilating and was trying to relax but in the end she couldn't stop herself. The dancing parts also meant she was starting to shake because of her lack of carbon dioxide apparently. She was tired do to her body working hard and I am guessing she died in thee end from exhaustion. Which explains the ending IT HURTS.

Well, I think that we can conclude with some certainty that it's about anxiety attacks. She seems to have the mounting anxiety, the insomnia, and the escapism that you'd expect from that. I've only ever hyperventilated once during an anxiety attack (Thanks for becoming enraged when I started crying, debate teacher), but it really did hurt a lot. I'm glad that that isn't a normal issue for me, at least. Anyway, though, anxiety definitely can feel like a loud siren is going off in your head.

The lyrics remind me a lot of panic attacks. I have them frequently and you see and hear strange things that aren't really there. The panicking causes the hyperventilating ofc and trying to breath is very painful, hence the hiffu hihiffu, I think is trying to signify how difficult it is to regulate your breathing. I personally do not think she actually died in the end. Panic and anxiety attacks, you often think you are dying and to accept that you will die is to give in to the attacks and allow them to take over which can cause your body to knock itself out.

As someone with insomnia, I hate the fact this song is so accurate. I become paranoid at night afraid something/someone will kill me and so I start sobbing uncontrollably and try to stay calm while doing so. Definitely not nice.
@hannahbasilio34135 жыл бұрын
I think this song is a bout a girl with some kind of panic disorder. Either that or psychosis or schizophrenia. Either way, it makes her very paranoid. The people outside saying “let’s be zombies” could just be drunk people late at night, and that’s why they sound like zombies. Because of this, she starts to hyperventilate in a panic attack, and she can’t catch her breath. That’s when her hallucinations combine with her panic. She feels like she’s dying, so she sees a grim reaper, (old coot with a sickle), who tells her to stop being human, and dance (die). At the end she can’t get a hold of her breath, and she says “I started to dance” (she really did die). This is even further implied when she says “it hurts to go and die like this”.

lol this was prob commented already but i absolutely love how there's little to no empty space in this song!! the singer barely has any time to relax and chill, because you rly can't relax n chill while having an anxiety attack. the times she's trying to relax and control her breathing is when she says "hiffu hihhiffu," and she has to do it several times because it's so difficult to calm down while having an anxiety attack.

This song helped me in a way that I can't explain, I was really anxious at school and I ran to the bathroom, I had my headphones on and this song just played and the rhythm somehow calmed me down 😅

I was suffering from panic attacks ever since I found out about the concept of death and I was about 6 years old. The song technically explain what happens every time I start panicking. Déjà vu and death references scares the shit out of me and gives me anxieties

I feel like this song is about a girl who gets bullied (the mouth person presents the bully.) in the part where the mouth was singing the chorus, that’s where the bully saw her have a panic attack and tried to calm her down. He failed and only mad it worse, causing her to die of a heart attack. Then the mouth and only the mouth starts to sing the panting part, which I implies that he started to have panic attacks too, mainly from the fear that he caused the girls death. I know that it’s most likely wrong and stuff, but that’s just what I got from the song. Sorry.

When the lyric about the siren came on, an ambulance passed by.... I thought it was part of the song, until I looked up.
@sb3588 жыл бұрын
This song is basically about a girl having a horrible day, to the point that she gets home and can't sleep after. She ends up staying up for most of the night feeling terrible, until some neighbors yell through her window that she looks like a zombie, like she's dying. She realizes that she can't breath (and it's probably turning blue) the whole song is her having an asthma attack, the person with the sickle is the grim reaper, telling her that she's going to die (stop being human) The same neighbors who yelled through her window called an ambulance (that's the siren and breath easy part) but, she's sure that she's going to die so she fights off the EMT's (the part about I took my hands and started to dance) and either ends up actually dying or hallucinationated to the point she believes that she's dead.

sb358 Wow I think your so right. Sometimes Miku songs are hard to work out and there are so many theories. Like Corpse March and Disappearance of Hatsune Miku
@accountofthebird6 жыл бұрын
I think it's about having a panic attack, because this is what it feels like. It hurts to breathe in and out, which makes it very difficult to breathe normally, and lack of oxygen causes lightheadedness, and it feels as if you're dying. In songs you're not supposed to take things literally. Most of it is all symbolic. No one's actually yelling in her window saying she looks like a zombie. It's symbolic.
@sb3586 жыл бұрын
I’m also thinking this because of the “Hey breathe easy” lyric. It doesn’t seem like she’d say that to herself, if she was in the state she was. Someone else had to be there with her, trying to help. So the neighbors had to be there or someone else she didn’t exactly know very well.

1:13 People make fun of Miku and she cant seem to forget the embarrassing moment. This shows that the song maybe about an *Anxiety Attack*. Miku is at the point where she is hallucinating and causing self-harm. The hallucinations tells miku "Hey, lets stop being human" which can mean its telling Miku to kill herself. Miku lacks the ability to breathe from all the self-harm she is doing to herself. Miku ends up committing suicide cause she wasnt able to handle all the mocking that people did to her.

I get anxiety attacks, but I'm really glad that none of them made me hyperventilate. It sounds like more of a nightmare than the anxiety attack itself.
@3DPlagueDR8 жыл бұрын
I just noticed that this got another like, so I guess I should update: This year I ended up hyperventilating multiple times. My hunch was correct, it was worse than the anxiety attack that triggered it by far. Coupling being afraid, I felt like I was going to die, or pass out. It's certainly something that I wouldn't wish on anyone.

So when the "hiffu hihiffu lalalalaa" part comes except with the two mouths I think that means miku gave in to the voices in her head (the mouths) and they overcame her and she started to "dance" (she started to do what the voice sounds told her to do)

A lot of people relate this to song to anxiety attacks ( and so do I) although, on a personal level, it describes perfectly how it feels to use self strangulation as a mean of self harm.
@chalkwarrior55422 жыл бұрын
The bit where miku's replaced with the mouth people almost sounds like something else entirely is singing. If you listen closely you'll know it's miku but well it really DOES sound like something else, huh?

Something I didn't notice at first, The ending line "-have to die like this" sort of sounds like "Ichi ni san shi" which is a count-up to 4 iirc, I don't know much Japanese nor do I know about a lot of words but coming from an outside perspective this is kinda cool and im curious on what it could mean
@timemachine30213 жыл бұрын
In Japanese, "sanshi" also means "惨死 (disastrous death)" (although it is only sound to be exact). Original is written as "惨死".
