Thanks, Kenny! If you check out the ADSR site, they have it at $20 now, but if you buy the "Set The Vibes Bundle", Hatz, and a thing called "Vybz" are $8.99 for the pair. They say it's on until Feb 17, 2022 ALSO - if you buy it, there are extra free presets for it at the thenatan website!

It's always interesting to see someone here on KZbin that you're usually only used to hearing their voice. I had a completely different mental image of what Kenny looked like!

Cheers Kenny, could be a useful addition. I know you're a reaper guy primarily, but I can't see an issue with you posting a handy and affordable vst once in a while.

Great! It simulates what we can do using the unbeatable Akai MPC. Now it's up to the pressure midi data to be sent by the MIDI controller and received by the DAW. I still wonder how to simulate those 16 notes and 16 velocities from Akai MPC on samplers like Speedrum Lite, for example...

At first glance, Hatz looks real interesting. A drummer needs to control the pedal on a hi-hat and I don't see a way to do that. Designated keyboard notes for "open", "half-open", "closed", etc doesn't cut it. Using a keyboard pitch wheel to control pedal position and pressure would be ideal, but I don't see that it does that.

I thought, ah I don't need this, I have some nice drum sampler plugins...but I've changed my mind after I saw how you could play your keyboard with the different patterns and pitch control and all. It's cool!

cool can you use your own samples in the plugin ?

Also How do you record the actual midi created by Hatz? - otherwise there's no way to swing the midi performance. Hatz has no built in swing and the midi on your track is just key presses triggering the VSTi

Right click on record arm button Record output (MIDI)

@@IDDQDSound But does Hatz actually spit midi, and if so does it include the rolls etc achieved in the plugin interface?

That's cool...are there any settings to 'humanize'? Don't want my hi hats sounding that perfectly in time!
@dahyamistry2 жыл бұрын
In your midi editor, press H, which will bring up the default Reaper Humanize dialogue box

@@dahyamistry thanks friend but cause these are just held down long single midi events not sure that's gonna humanize the hi hats of the plug-in

I've been recording for many years...none of these samples sound any thing like actual high-hat cymbals from an actual drum set played by a drummer
