As a truck driver in the U.S., it is standard practice in a lot of Companies to keep headlights on 24/7. Also, IRL wide loads with escorts get warned about things like those poles by the escorts.

Very nice video Dagger! ;) I suggest you to press F3 to make the Route Advisor less cumbersome, and if you want you can press another time F3 and the Route Advisor will disappear, then you'll can see the road through the on board computer of the truck :) And I also suggest you a Volvo FH 2012 or an Iveco Steak is Hi-Way for the next lorry :)

If you want to keep your settings when making new profiles go to Documents>Euro Truck Simulator 2>profiles and then look for a profile that you already have setup to your liking. It may be difficult to identify individual profiles because the folders are named randomly but the "date modified" info may help. Once you find the profile folder with your settings you're gonna copy the "config.cfg" and "controls.sii" files and paste to a directory where you can locate them easily (like a backup folder). Now copy them again and paste in any profile that you need to recreate the settings and overwrite when asked. You can use those files to recreate your settings in any future profiles you make :)

Daggerwin, do you think SCS should release a seasons DLC where you can select what season you want it to be and then this is reflected in various countries. So different weather and sunrise/sunset times, etc. all based on where you are driving. It would also affect foliage and general environment. Then you should have to set your truck up with snow tyres in snowy winter areas and maybe even snow chains for Alpine or Scandinavian routes. Liking the ETS2 vids. Keep em coming.

Yeah but most of them are unstable or conflict with other mods and are generic. So, for example, if you loaded a winter mod it would be snowy in Southern Italy and France. Not very realistic.

You don't need to take it that wide when turning, as the trailer follows you through the corner. It doesn't cut in too much, actually is the other way around, it swings out a lot

When going down hill, you should be in the same gear you would be in to climb. Keeps from killing brakes and lessens the chance of a runaway.

Always use retarder going down hill, the retarder (and engine brakes) work best at high revs, so slow down at the top of the hill and put a lower gear, with the retarder on stage one and increase the strength to maintain the speed of the truck. Best way to manage such a heavy weight. In real life, the Volvo engine brake is very strong, while the MAN retarder is fantastic. Mercedes can't hold a flame to the MAN braking power.

so, lets get a few things out of the way.....most of the time, the pilot cars will dictate your speed, stick with the pilot car, that's how you know your going the right speed second, cruise control in ETS2, it can only be activated when above a certain speed
