Just watching this again, and I found myself smiling throughout it. Your enthusiasm for what you have found is contagious. Thanks so much. Things are rough here right now. We can't get together with any family for Christmas, so not an overly happy time. Thanks for all you do, Julie!

Hi! Nice haul! The metal boxes with 4 compartments are used in restaurants for silverware; especially in buffet, self-serve, and all-you-can-eat types of restaurant formats. Yours is probably not old. I like how you think 🤔 outside of the box, however 😉. Cute idea for using the picnic basket as a "girl's room" toy box - but not very practical. It won't hold up to the use and abuse of a child repeatedly opening and closing the lid as kids will do (think: "Peakaboo!"). Old picnic baskets become brittle with age. I'd give it 2 weeks before the lid was pulled off - or worse yet - the whole basket was in splinters the 1st time the child stood or sat on the basket, because they don't know any better. These pieces are OLD and dried out, and when the slats splinter, (and they WILL!) the injuries to the child could be severe, as well. Not trying to be critical or a "Debbie Downer" and I hope 🙏 you understand my motivation is kind, and to keep a child from harm and a beautiful vintage piece from needless destruction💜. Your idea for using the old wooden ironing board as a plant stand is great. I have been using mine for a plant stand for many years, and you are right, it doesn't take up much floor space. Looks great on the front porch in the summer with geraniums and Boston ferns, too! Just enough room on the narrow end for a 😎 🆒️ cool glass of 🧊 iced lemonade🍋🍋🍋, too! No need for a side table next to my chair to hold my beverage, LOL! I have even hung mine on the wall in the laundry room as wall art, next to my metal and glass washboards, a old wire rug beater, an old cloth clothespin bag, a galvanized wash tub, and a few old wooden hangers with the imprinted advertising from clothing stores on them. So cute😍😊💜❣ Keep thinking outside of the 📦 box. Not everyone has that gift; the proof is the customers you have that don't have your vision for DIY🤑😊😎💰🤑 💸💲💶 and flipping for a profit.😁💜
