Күн бұрын

It continues to rain... We're Hauling Corn to the Ethanol plant to empty our bins before Harvest. There is nothing more enjoyable than the smell of rotten, wet corn. The weather conditions for hauling are anything less than ideal with a temperature of 87 degrees fahrenheit with 82% humidity. Remember when I was wearing my winter jacket last week??!! Typical MN weather.. A broken tarp motor won't stop us. New Millennial Farmer Podcast Scheduled for release October 1ST!

Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

He does a huge service to the American farmer by educating those of us who are ignorant about true farm life and what it takes to feed us. . American farmers have always been a huge blessing to our country. It is so important that more Americans understand the hard work and dedication our farmers put forth.

My son occasionally helps a local farmer, mostly for harvest. He likes running the grain cart. Every once in a will he will get busted from that job for overloading trucks. One time he put 1103 bushels on a truck. The elevators around here will no longer dump a truck that grosses over 95,000 lbs but luckily they always haul to their own bins.

What a heck of a place for a kid to grow up. You get so much experience doing things unlike the kids in city or urban areas. At a young age you get to learn how to operate equipment, cars, trucks motorcycles, ATV's on and on living where you do. I grew up in Fort Worth and every summer as a child I went to stay with my grandparents in the U.P Of Michigan and got to do a lot of stuff like this. We could never do that where I lived. Most my family is from WI or Michigan so it was always a good time. Great video once again. You have one hell of an operation I have to say.
