Found your videos today and really loving them. The wife and I are moving to Hawaii in April so I'm excited to get back there and re-explore. Keep up the videos! One thing I noticed when you anchored was that you have your snubber going around your cleats and tied off to one of the stanchions base. That's putting all the stress on that stanchion instead of the cleats that are supposed to take the stress/weight. The cleats are installed to take that pressure and the lifeline stanchions aren't. Anyways, just wanted to point it out because it's a safety thing. Aloha and I'm going to keep bingeing more videos now 😁🤙🏼
@SailorJames2 жыл бұрын
That is only a temporary chain stop snubber, I have a real snubber that I use. Been doing this a long time

@@SailorJames 👍🏼 I can tell you have been just by your lingo and knowledge. I didn't want to say anything and be "that guy" commenting on a KZbin video, but you never know what people do or don't know despite their experience. I didn't mean to criticize but merely just wanted to point something out that could help you if you were not aware. Keep up the good work.

Some great backdrops James ..your second anchorage seemed so much more verdant than the first. The bay and ridges almost looked like a breached ancient caldera. Sometimes hard to match the dry landscapes of one area and the jungle greens of a bay like this. 🌎

Hi ST (smiles & hug) The "winds" on the Islands of Hawaii? They Kick-up everyday around 12pm -- 5pm....and then die-down. You can "almost" set your clock by them. (wink) Also, there are definite "areas" on the Islands that will "rain" hard on you at exactly the same time everyday. Pretty cool & unusual weather. Please "visit" the other Islands. The Big Island will hold your interests for the snorkeling & "private" beaches.......and of course >>>> The Volcano. (smile) And, Kauiai will hold your attention for the sheer towering cliffs. The rest of the Islands? They are kinda the same in terrain & probably "best" if U get off the boat & explore them in a car & on foot??? U R amazing & courageous ST & "Thank You" for sharing your Adventure with us. (BIG hug) GOD BLESSES ALL.
