Been to Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Dade County, the keys, Nassau. I Enjoy fishing, renting boats when I’m down there. I can’t dive anymore so I’ll do a lot of snorkelling. Land lubber question: When two vessels meet, what are the "rules-of-the-road" as to which side they pass on? Is it to be port-side to port-side? Seems some of these boaters pass on either side as a matter of convenience.

It should be port side to port side, but with so many various types of vessels, horsepower and unskilled boat operators, you just have to get in and out safely!
