Who sees a pond in the middle of a cemetary and says 'obviously I should fish here, this obviously isn't a decorative pond meant to be soothing to the mourners who come to visit their dead loved ones.' Well, saying that.. Maybe that would actually calm me down when I go visit my grandfathers grave to see a man just straight up fishing like 20 feet away from me. It's what he would have wanted.

Okay so fishing during a funeral is pretty bad, but I know a cemetery that has a SOCCER FIELD, literally right next to it. No tall fence to separate the two either. So if you think someone fishing during a funeral is disrespectful, just imagine mourning your loved one and getting interrupted by a freaking ten year old KICKING A BALL IN YOUR FACE
@99fireandice3 жыл бұрын
.... either we live in the same weird town or this is a trend bc this is LITERALLY where my family is buried and the only reason we didn’t have to worry abt soccer kids was bc it was about to be hardcore winter

i feel like an important question is whether or not its an historic cemetery or not. if everyone there has been dead for 100+ years, go for it, if there's any chance of a mourner being there, do not.
@rachelrachel91523 жыл бұрын
Yeah i don't think it's inherently wrong it's def a little weird and def concerns about getting haunted, but on the off chance such a pond is stocked with fish that you can catch, youre best off doing it when no one's around just so nobody feels weird. Also sounds like the beginning of any murder solving show where someone happens across a body

Had a summer job of magnet fishing in a local cemetery pond because people throw all sorts of stuff in despite the "no dumping" sign. Everyone gave me shit and I had to explain that I was doing maintenance because the stuff would kill our fish and aquatic plants if left alone.
