Awww, 2 of my best YT friends! Beautiful sparkly goodness! 3:35, around here, we call those formations "turtle-backs"!

Glad you liked them. I am going to go back as soon as the weather warms up and it quits snowing and raining I hate digging in the mud. I want to get you a better piece of root beer quartz. You have to dig for those but the rest that you have they are surface finds.

@@Nikkisavage100 thank you. What type of stones do you have in France? If you want to see more of these types of rocks check out Dustin Finds Rocks channel and HuntingRocks channel. This is where I found this place for these types of rocks.

Those specimens are beyond gorgeous! so super pretty. And those are growing on not corals but stromatolites! Total mineral replacement but you can see the stromatolite structure from underneath. They are beautiful!

Haven't been rockhounding for a long time, so I get my fix watching others rockhounding finds😆 oh & going to the thrift store, another passion of mine. Got good score yesterday..paid $2 for a big Blue Mountain Pottery Eagle statue! Whoo Hoo! whoo Hoo!😄 Have a great weekend mate👍🌻

Great stuff! I'm always perplexed with trying to imagine how each particularly historical environment was formed, what the conditions were like when these and other similar specimen were being created, and what erosion took place to expose/reveal such natural beauty over unfathomable amounts of time. They're more than worth pondering over, for sure!

The crystals formed during Carboniferous times inside of cavities of fossil stromatolite in dolomite from the late Cambrian. They were like large geode pancakes. As the dolomite dissolves the crystals are left in the surface layers of clay.

Fascinating... Thanks for the information! I can now look at them and understand exactly how they formed. Appreciate your input here 🙌

Nice video! Can we do a video together using my dinostones fire agate, I can send you a rough stone to cut. The stone will have dino textures that will be categorized later based on color as I grow my new channel. Keep up the good work and enjoyable content🤠

Definitely not coral. The crystals formed inside of fossil stromatolite.
