I really liked this game, and you felt vulnerable the whole time. There were a few things you could do to attack, like lay down crystals that explode like land mines or roll down a slope, and kick, but really you quite helpless throughout the entire adventure. Making the main character an appealing young woman was central to how she was victimized by all the attackers, who all wanted something from her being a woman.

Oh men....I remember this game. It traumatized me, actually this scared me more Resident Evil. Not saying RS didn't scare me it's just that, it's less scary when you have a shotgun. Yeah, resident evil I feel is more combat focused, whereas this is more of a "Outlast-type" of game, where you just avoid your chasers, which makes it more scary at least for me 😬

I've been playing this game for literally 15 years. Me and my then best friend for it cheap at game stop. I still play this game and it's my favorite ps2 game of all time (silent Hill 4 the room is 2nd) and in my top 5 of all games.

I loved this game. Once I got over my fear 😆 You feel so vulnerable being chased and there's limited you can do, or else Fiona will go into a "panic mode." & I hated treating Hewie bad, but yes, I wanted all the endings & videos. I've played on hard mode with Fiona's extra outfits & Hewie with the Shepherd skin, even though he didn't really listen. But it was all good fun. Oh, & those babies that stick to your leg & start screaming, letting the enemy know your location. & If you let the, luminescent hit you, it also lures the enemy. & If you use a hiding spot too often the enemy will find you.... I got rid of this game like a fool 😟 PS2 had some amazing games for it's time. (& Van Helsing)

Daniella is the main enemy in a crossover fic of mine involving "Madoka Magica", "Clock Tower 2" and and an old anime called "Brave Beats": It's like this. After Akuma Homura breaks the Law of Cycles, a spin-off Magical Girl with cloning habilities gets a power surge through an accidental possession case, creating multiple clones of people strong in karma who got the short end of the stick in their original lives. One of the people was Daniela, who became a queen in an alien world related to dance and song. Unfortunately, due to some of her methods to rule, she was banished, by a king no less, putting salt in the wound (yes, she remembers her previous life). Finding a boy grieving over the loss of his mother (Maito, the antagonist of the old anime), she agrees to help him destroy the world for taking his mother away. In return, he must be her vessel, promising to treat him as a son. My main goal with this fic is to have some with the psyche of the anime's female lead, who I always saw as a bit of a snowflake. And to explore more the cast outside their "Finding the gems" routine. They're too hopeful, and sometimes feel a little too shallow. Also, the mentor to the characters in my fic is Maria from "Silent Hill 2". Love the symbolism I came up here with this "Maria vs Daniella" conflict, plus the neutral party Magic Girls such as Alina Gray.
