Brings tears to my eyes. Was one of my life goals but COVID wiped out my wedding business. Who knows maybe things will turn around . At 56 years old , still some time no? Thank you for sharing the beauty !

This brought back wonderful memories. The smiling faces do not best represent some of the pain that is endured but certainly captures the wonderful views and sheer isolation of the route and the ecstasy and relief of the ski into Zermatt. Fitness is absolutely key but altitude acclimatization is also very very important as is a full understanding of all equipment. A good guide is mandatory. A calm head and a sense of humour also helps along the way. All in all, an absolutely unforgettable experience.

Hello. Beautiful video! Is it right that someone really did it with a splitboard? so cool! wasn't there any long traverses what made it difficult for a splitboard? Ord did the skiers help him? :)
@aertskatrien3 жыл бұрын
Yes, we had a splitboarder (high level) with us. He didn't need help from the skiers. There is a travers in, but if you have a good gide, you can for sure do it with a board.

Super, met snowboard te doen?
@aertskatrien6 жыл бұрын
als het een handige snowboarder is wel.
@bramo300003 жыл бұрын
@aertskatrien3 жыл бұрын

Skied it first in 1978. Fabulous Route. I prefer to call it Ski Mountaineering as it requires a deeper understanding of conditions and the situations are usually in more remote areas.
