Good video Dmitri. It was very good that they were focusing on the main structurers of the vehicle. Different markets have different price points so items are added and removed, and safety rules also vary country to country. So focusing on the quality of the shell, suspension and sound proofing was very wise of you. Good job.

The havals engine is based on the 1NZFE Toyota engine. GWM bought the design from Toyota (old design that Toyota had moved on from) Which is why they have a good reliability factor. Proven design.

This is an interesting video as Russian media is doing something no one in Australian media would do. People in the mechanical engineering trades would like to see this stuff. To me Illya seems to be a bit pessimistic here. Remember the Jolion is a 100,000 rmb car in China (or about $13k usd or $21k aud) - we pay under $30k here. In that light this is an amazingly engineered car for 100,000 rmb which let me tell you, isnt a great deal of money to the China middle class. The engineering on this car looks no better or worse than a Hyundai Venue. The motor and gearbox will last you past 250,000km. If you look under a 5,000km Japan or Korean car you will see the same corrosion. Now look at the interior of a Hyundai Venue.

I agree that GWM produces pretty good cars. Yes Ilya is a bit sceptical (and rather cynical) when it comes to Chinese car reviews, but he did like Tank 300 a lot, and they don't have many examples of GWM - only Jolion and Tank if I'm not mistaken. H6 is not common there, and the rest of the market is Geely and Chery

Thank you for the words of support - really appreciated. Problem is - these videos take effort, and are not very popular on my channel, compared to others. Hard to just keep pushing translations that not many people are watching. Do you know what I mean?
@darroncrick9993 Жыл бұрын
Hi Dmitri, I think you are on a winner here. You are uniquely placed to do these translation videos and people will definitely watch them in my opinion. You have a plethora of weird and wonderful material to work with and if you can get the heading right you will get the views. You picked a good video to start with, the production value of the original video is very high. My advice would be to be bold and branch out into some of the whackier stuff and try adding some humour to your commentary. This form of video making opens the scope of what you can produce infinitely. Really there is only so many vids on your own cars and stay interesting. Going down this new route gives you heaps of options. Personally I wouldn't worry about the Russian connection, in fact you can easily argue that as you are profiting from Russian work you are actually "Stickin it to Pootin". KZbin can be a slog and few go viral. The key is to do something you enjoy and have an edge. You may have a great edge and if you can make it funnier it might go nuts. Our son has a channel where he posts things he enjoys and a few of his videos have around 5 million views as there are enough people worldwide interested in his niche. He makes a little money from it, spends heaps of time on production, but does it purely as a hobby. Fortunately he has a secure, totally unrelated, job! Have a look for yourself, I think you mentioned music in an earlier video so you may find it interesting; kzbin.info Do some more car teardown videos to warm up then let loose mate. Excellent stuff!!!
@ValueCarsAU Жыл бұрын
Great suggestions, thanks as always for your thoughts mate. Of course I'd like views to back up the effort put into making the videos but I do what I enjoy already on this channel, as you can hopefully see, I'm not a crowd pleaser and I'm not doing stuff purely "to get more clicks"... Having said that, I am genuinely interested in what unique perspective this Russian connection can offer my audience and new viewers hopefully. As far as humor is concerned, I think I've shown enough personality for people to recognize the edge, but turning this into a humor focused thing is probably not something I'd do. Letting a bit more loose though... yeah, definitely mate.

@ValueCarsAU Жыл бұрын
Hello Mauricio, good question. No, I don't think all of this will apply to what we get in AU as our Havals wouldn't be assembled in and for Russian market, BUT I do believe that what we're seeing is indicative of the quality and general approach that HAVAL has to design and materials used in the vehicles. Otherwise, translating these Russian insights world have been of zero value to my viewers and I am trying to keep the content relevant! 😉

It seems everyone is terrified of the fact that Chain has come into the small SUV market with a Banger. I just sold a C200 and a B180 merc and have never been happier Best value car EVER Forget about all the " underpowered " BS . This car for it's price strikes terror into all other car manufacturers. When u see people trying to discredit and shoot holes into something - it's usually because of fear.😮 The Haval is the best value for money car I've ever had . 100% happy

There's nothing frightening or threatening about a poorly made budget vehicle that suffers widespread malfunctions as soon as it leaves the dealership. The proof is in the material quality of the product as well as the (nonexistent) aftersales service. Reviews are not so good from Australians who have paid for these vehicles using their own hard earned cash and have been left with a completely useless hunk of Chain crap. Only idiots buy Haval/GWM/LDV/MG. Rust and electrical faults must be the latest fashion trend. 🤣🤣

I want to buy jolion But I saw this video And I am having some doubt about the long term durability of Haval Jolion. For Only long time durability pupose Please suggest me Which will be better option Haval Jolion( turbo)vs Toyota CHR hybrid. Please suggest me 👉( Note: In our country we do not have factory new toyota car. We basically buy toyoya CHR used car from japan. But in our country Haval Local dealer is selling factory new jolion car The price of haval jolion (turbo) fully new and the price of Second hand toyota CHR hybrid ( which is used about 15000 k.m. to 30000 k.m. k.m) is same.... I want to use a car for 15/20 years In that case Which car would be better for me.. Please tell me brother
@ValueCarsAU Жыл бұрын
Hey, please understand that I'm not an expert and can only offer my thoughts based on logic and my own findings. I would always take a car that has warranty AND is preferably new, over any used car with unknown driving history and (worse!) no warranty. That's my high-level answer brother. So IF Jolion is sold brand new, with warranty, dealership support, etc, and used Japanese CHR is not - I'd always go for Jolion. If CHR is "almost new", there's a service logbook and nothing unknown really, then CHR has probably higher build quality and longevity in itself - but I'm guessing here as I don't know Toyota dealership and support network (e.g. spare parts?) across your country vs. Haval. So you need to do a research not only of the cars. But also of the dealership, warranties, and mechanical support network for both brands across the country my friend.
