Alpha please offer bigger heat pump options tied to the unit for older properties that may need a one of the following 6kwh, 8, kwh 12jwh or 14kwh that way those that gave a combi already won’t have to adjust if installed correctly

A couple of questions: a. Does it need to use a combi boiler? I need to keep my hot water cylinder since its harvests free heat using a Solar PV diverter. b. Can the heat pump be paired with a pre-existing boiler? My boiler is only a few years old, so its not cost effective to consider changing it. I'd guess that the difficulty is getting the control systems to play nicely together (e.g. my Valiant boiler doesn't support Open-Therm, so will only with the companies own control system if weather compensation is added). Background - On the coldest days of winter (circa -5 outside) I need to run my boiler at 68C, so my radiators are definitely too small for a pure heat pump solution (I use "manual weather compensation" in which I adjust the boiler temperature up or down based on the predicted outside temperature).

Hey Robert, unfortunately this product is only designed to work with a combi boiler. It also can only be installed as a package because the weather compensation feature talks directly with the boiler, so the technology wouldn't work if you kept your current combi boiler.
