Yeah sometimes I just don't want to get out of bed because I know what's going to happen... I start moving the left leg first then something get stuck in my low back and can't move until I hear that crack... That's so annoying. People don't realize how back pain can destroy your life. And when you have a day off pain it changes everything...

I’m diagnosed with acute left sided sciatica. Dr. gave me prescription to help. Also, my mattress which is not that old, is a nightmare. It’s being replaced. I actually had my husband go to our new camper and bring the new mattress into our living room. Wow, what a difference one night made. I finally got some sleep! Pain level went way down. I had two bad nights trying to get up off my regular bed and I couldn’t even move! I was sobbing in pain. The mattress from the camper is temporary, but it’s helping a great deal because I can move, rather be stuck in the mattress. I’m getting an extra firm mattress, and some physical therapy.

Awesome and extremely helpful video! I literally fell out of bed this morning because I didn’t realize I had overworked and hurt myself yesterday. I was glad to hear you say that the disks will compress as you’re moving around that first hour in the morning. I knew that if I took my time it would loosen up and it did. I’m so grateful for your videos and it is giving me hope for getting out of bed tomorrow!

I'm 41, had a car accident when I was 23 and have been in pain every day since. Ranges from mild/moderate to where I can barely walk. I can't remember what it's like to be pain free. I have herniated and bulging discs that never healed and I can't do normal every day things that many take for granted. I can't play with my 2 small children, can only walk about a mile, can't stand for long, wash dishes, bending leaves me in excruciating pain and I'm just so fed up. I'd fly out to yous if I thought you could fix me. I also roll to get out of bed - thats when I'm actually able to turn in the bed. I just want an end to it and to live my life 😢

When you have DDD (severe-lumbar & moderate-cervical), spinal stenosis, bursitis of the hip and a bad case of sciatica; rolling in and out of bed has become a chore to me...although I still have to roll no matter what. No way! No matter HOW i tried i couldntttttt get out of bed, guess it was stupid to lay down and hope it was gonna help it feel better. I had to pee too lol tried for over an hour on my own. My partner got home from work, tried helping me out which tho painful usually works. This time it made me scream bloody murder, my leg was ZINGING so bad i couldnt put it back down, screamed to my partner thru tears PUSH MY LEG DOWN!!!! I HATE taking any meds but i finally caved in and i asked for a muscle relaxer. About 30 minutes later tho painful, i could tolerate the excruciating pain enough to get up. By the time i made it to the toilet, i seriously almost peed myself lol and Honest to god, i thought i was going to have to have an ambulance at my house to help me get up. Im only 44 btw

Plus when I stand up in the morning and my spine starts to compress my lower lumbar area where my issue is, is in pain for about 30 minutes as I'm hobbling around. Then it finally releases and I can function. Why is there so much pain for 30 minutes when I stand up after getting out of bed each morning? L5/S1 herniation here.

So I have been getting out of bed the correct way. I wish there was a way to solve my neck, back getting messed up in my sleep. I basically need a chiropractor to follow me everywhere I go. I also try to lay in bed in certain position to get better at certain misalignment, and use appropriate position and pillows for support like you shown in another video, in a lot of the cases it helps. but that's just misalignment, which I suffer from very often and not only in my back and neck.

I have been doing the getting in and out of bed method for back pain (the edge of the bed is to my right when im on my stomach and sometimes i crawl to the end of the bed), but my left leg's sciatica is so bad that the second my left foot touches, not hits, the floor my left leg catches fire and it brings me down to my knee, sometimes having then to crawl as quickly as I can in the morning before I pee myself. I'm 31, DDD L3-S1, herniations L/R L3-L4, L/R L4-L5 L L5-S1. Severe deg.discs L5-S1 with stenosis. I'm doing my best, but because I am not 40 and am overweight they won't do surgery. Any ideas?
