Jenny, you are SO knowledgeable about foundations, and have truly earned the title, "The Foundation Lady!" I have yet to see another foundation review on YT that is as thorough as yours. Anyone wanting to try an Estee Lauder foundation would definitely find the right formula from this video. I also love how you included comparisons to drugstore foundations, treating them equally! I have tried EL foundations over the years, especially since I worked for them one summer. But, I was never able to find a shade pale enough. Even when I worked for them, I had to wear another foundation!🤫Now that I've discovered white mix in products to lighten foundations, I feel like I can try more brands. Estee Lauder makes some spot-on color matches for me, which I enjoy, but their price-tags are just not within my budget at the moment. I'm glad I found your channel a few montga ago, foundations are what I am always on the search for. My holy grail in my 30's and 40's was the MAC Studio Fix Powder plus Foundation. Now that I am in my mid- 60's I still want coverage but more natural looking. My two favorites right now are from LOreal, the reformulted/ packaged True Match and the Infallible 24 hour foundation in the glass bottle. Next time I am at Sephora I'm going to try the Estee Lauder Futurist

Ioved that you the did serum review comparison and the Estee Lauder foundations comparison! Everything i was curious about! We must be the same shade. Person in Ulta matched me with 2c3 but i feel it is a bit too deep. Im going to try your trick of mixing it with 1c1(?) shade!

Hi Kathy! 🤗 I am SO GLAD I was able to answer your questions about this foundation! ❤️ 2C3 is almost always the one I get matched to also, because it has a perfect "neutral-y" undertone, but I also find that it tends to look a bit too deep once it's on (and/or has oxidized.) I do the same thing you're thinking of doing, by mixing it with one of the lighter Estée Lauder shades, that also has that same neutral undertone. It's definitely not fun to have to purchase 2 to get a perfect match, but on the bright side, I go through the bottles slower! ☺️ Have a wonderful week! 🌺

I use to be a diehard EL doublewear in my 30’s and 40’s, flawless! Then mid 40’s and up EL lite, I was so mad when they discontinued it. I too always had to buy 2 shades but since it was my go to foundation I didn’t mind, just meant 2 bottles mixed lasted longer 😉 thanks for the review and welcome back ❤

Thank you Christian! 🤗 I've heard a few people mention that they were SO upset when E.L did away with the Double Wear Light! I never had the chance to try it, but I heard such good things about it! I remember about a year or so ago, I went to the E.L. counter to pick up a bottle of the Double Wear Sheer, but I accidentally referred to it as Double Wear Light, and the poor woman behind the counter looked like she must've upset a lot of customers having to tell them that they discontinued it. She looked so relieved when I told her I meant the "sheer" one! 😰 Have you found another foundation yet you like as much as the Double Wear Light? ❤️ Have a great week! 🙏🏻

Wonderful review! I was going to try this foundation, but the price is crazy. I just tried the Maybelline Skin Tint. Do you prefer the Maybelline or Loreal? Love your videos, thank you so much for the comparisons and also for not making them 2 hours long...🤣

To answer your question, I do really like the Maybelline skin Tint! I did a comparison between that, and the L'oreal Skin tint, and I kept going back and forth throughout the day on which one looked better (so they were very close!) But at the end of the day, I found that the L'oreal seemed to have more staying power for me, and looked smoother (after several hours of wear.) It was a tight race though! Both are great! I LOVE Estée Lauder foundations. I have tried several different high-end foundations, but I always end up going back to Estée Lauder. They just have the best undertones, best finishes, and look the best on my skin. I love the Hydra Rescue and Double Wear the most 😊 I love your videos. Hi Melissa! ❤️ Thank you so much for your sweet comment about my glasses! 🤗 The frames I'm wearing in this video are made by Oliver Peoples, and (I pulled out my magnifying glass to get the number on them...'cause I couldn't see without my glasses 😂) the number is: 51016. I got them several years ago, so I'm not sure if they make this exact style, but if they don't sell the same style now, you might be able to google the name and number and find them on eBay! 🤓 I just got a new prescription, and I was at America's Best (eyeglasses store) the other day, and they had several frames that were VERY similar! @@foundationlady just in general really. it never occured to me to buy more than 1 foundation till i started to watch this channel. However, I have to put this on hold for a while. Busy season just hit and I can't think my way out of a paper bag lately 😶‍🌫

@@cleslie9250 I’m so sorry it took me a while to get back to you! ❤️ It seems like it’s turned into busy season for me too! 😰 So to answer your question, the way you know that a foundation is your correct shade, is when it seems to “disappear” into your skin…. For example, when I go to SEPHORA, and I see a brand of foundation I want to try, I pick the three shades that appear to be closest to what I think will match me… then I swatch those three foundations right on my jawline, so it’s partially on my jaw, and partially on my neck, THEN (and here’s the trick…) give it about 15 minutes while I walk around the store (to allow it to oxidize. When I look in the mirror after 15 minutes, the swatch that disappears the most into my skin is the right match. However, I should mention, that not every brand of foundation will have a shade that matches you perfectly, in fact MOST will not, but in general I can usually find one close enough, or I can mix two shades together. Every once in a while you will hit the jackpot (so to speak) and find a brand that had a perfect match to your skin. Many people don’t realize that this is the case, but there are only so many shades/undertones a company can offer, so part of it for me, is just experimenting and trying different foundations each time I go into ULTA or SEPhORA!
