Yes! Florence episode. So happy, its Friday I just opened a bottle of wine, kids are in bed... can my weekend get any better?! You guys have worked so hard over the past 6 years. Thank you for allowing us to come with you on this journey. I'm going to book the day off work to come down to the south coast to shake your hands in person once you get back to the UK! The BEST sailing channel on KZbin. Matt. Amy. You guys deserve every success in life. Keep going!

I really don’t understand how you haven’t gotten more viewers during the last 5 years. I do so enjoy your travels and seeing foreign destinations that I would never otherwise see. I sincerely hope finishing your first circumnavigation does not mean the end of your channel. Not having you to watch would be very much like losing dear old friends I have come to love. Always wishing you fair winds and full sails, and happy times. Cheers.

Of all the episodes on all the sailing channels, this one was the most profound in putting the day to day cruising life, and the opportunity that exists for those brave enough to slip the lines, into perspective for me. Congratulations on an achievement of a lifetime!

Did I ever mention how much I like your "tag-team" narrations! Your diction is so easy to understand, which is so indicative of the British. You have a great eye for converting the scenery into a scene for us! We follow you because we, too, want to see the world from the deck of a sailboat, and the views are leaving us in awe! And I agree that while the physical world can be beautiful to behold, it is usually the people we encounter along the way that will make or break it for us on the voyage.

I can’t believe its been 6 years!! Time does fly! I believe that your thought about slowing down and not pushing the boat ourselves does indeed cut down on damage and wear and tear on equipment and yourselves! I think I learned that 50 years ago when I sailed out of sight of land the first time. I was never one to race, the journey is always more interesting and important!! Thanks for the insight happy travels and good winds!

Congratulations on completing your global circumnavigation! You have accumulated several lifetimes experiences on your 6+ year voyages, seeing so many parts of the world most of us will never see in person. Thanks to your phenomenal videography and narrative skills your viewers have been able to accompany you from our comfortable chairs, seeing all the fantastic places and people you have encountered. In a world gone mad this channel has been for me a touchstone for humanity, as the interactions you have had across so may different cultures have been overwhelming positive. Thanks for sharing your adventures and best wishes for continued success !

What an amazing set of memories. A quite wonderful episode as you go back over so much, and so much I can also remember by following your journey. I have to agree with Amy over lightening. Spectacular to watch, but there you are with a 60’ lightening conductor poked up into the sky and a strike could blow out you skin fittings in an instant, and even nearby activity could fry the electrics. I also have to COMPLETELY agree with Amy about the wonderfulness of ocean passages and all the dross of life falling away and life becoming focussed on real things like wind, waves, weather, fresh water, fuel if you’re running a genset or water-making (not one of your issues!), chaffe, when to make the next gybe etc. No more nonsense HR ‘critical’ review sessions or whatever. Yep, she completely describes my feelings

Wow, I remember watching most of those episodes. Not all… but I hadn’t realized how long I’ve been watching y’all’s channel. Of all the sailing channels that I watched back then, you are the only one I still like. I have only a few now but I’m most excited about Florence. Not going to enjoy when y’all hang it up..
OK, here's a plan for you two to consider: Refit in Blighty as needed, see family and friends, etc, THEN set out around the world in the opposite direction, skip the places you didn't like, stay over in the good places, etc. We need at least a couple more years of videos 'cause you two are great!!

Another I plane is when you cross your outbound track! Talking of memories the image I always recall is the vividness of the colour green of land, it’s not a colour you see at sea! Both of you should be extremely proud of your passage. I have a 50 ft schooner and I could not imagine making your journey in 37 ft LOA. The volume difference is approximately 5X, not 13 ft of LOA. Lynn and Larry Pardey, did it many times 1st in 24 ft, then 28 I believe, and engineless, on a gaffer, with only a GPS in those days.

That crossing the Prime Meridian is SOOO. COOOOL.. you did the feat so few ever do... Loved both your rembrances good best than scary but it's all in life's ride... Someone told group the other day, totally unrelated, "It's all a matter of level of risk one wants to take on" ... Funny you two talk about 30 days in a rolly sea and I went on an 85" (over all) schooner Appledore $60... on the Penobscot Bay for a two hour cruise out of Camden Maine... A TWO HOUR CRUISE ( similar emphasis as the Gilligan's Islands TV theme song 3 hour cruise (what a silly show)).. Oh $20 extra for an open bar... I don't partake so I gave it in the crew tip bag debarking at the end .. It was an all female crew that day.. Captain Cindy and two able bodied crew (not all buff looking but strong) and the two were barmaids as well.. I sat right across from the 6' long booze deck box full to bursting ..of course .. lol.. I had Gatorade... Still hoping I can sail the Atlantic in the next few years on a 200' old classic sailing ship before the cancer gets bad.. If you hear of an ship in repositioning or usual passage schedule I'd love to know..Thanks ... at 70 I am today driving to Pemaquid Point to see husicane Fionas waves on rocks 4 to 7 feet which is pretty big for my experience here. Thanks for listening. "Life is an Adventure to be Lived" ❤🌍

That was a good one guys. A bit of reflection. What a trip! And to see that the surface of the planet can be (mostly ) benign, if a bit rolly at times. The modern aids to navigation make all the difference do they not? When you think about Magellan doing basically the same thing. But not knowing where he was for months on end, crew dying before his eyes, only faith supporting him. We've come a long way. Happy sailing guys. Keep a'hold.
