For a while, I have been letting pride get to me. I told myself that I could do things without the help of my savior. It's been such a struggle. I'm so glad that I have subscribed to this channel because even after getting a notification that seemed to fit my situation I still did not want to open it- that was until now of course. The title of this video had matched me so mysteriously well. I've been prideful but I'm slowly learning to humble myself unto the Lord and seek help. It takes a humble heart to put aside time to say your prayers and a diligent mind to be able to fall, get back up again and keep going. Thank you guys so much for these wonderful videos! They help so much

I agree with you 100%. Every time these wonderful videos pop up I get the urge to skip them but as soon as I watch them I am instantly grateful that I did. Thank you for your testimony.

I am certainly not trying at all to justify my passed actions but I know for me unfortunately I seem to learn lessons the hard way....I was never more appreciative for and to the Savior when I stepped away from His gospel and found my way back. Pride is a huge stumbling block for us as humans. Now when I pray I ask that I may remain humble in my life rather than being compelled to be humble🤗

I've been victimized by 2 men with mental disorders who by their actions made it clear that they didn't believe I was of worth or enough or deserved to be loved!! By doing theraphy technices I was able to rediscover my own worth and was told that the lord loved me more than I could imagine!! this has helped my friendships around me!

We are so happy to hear that you were able to rediscover your own worth and the great love the Lord has for you. You are a beloved daughter of Heavenly Father who wants to bless you and help you find peace and joy in this life. Always remember that you can pray to him at any time when you need a listening ear. He will listen and bless you.

I heard something similar once: "I am a child of God, special, unique, and worthwhile: Special, because I am a child of God; unique, because no one else on earth is exactly like me; and worthwhile, because, as a creation of God, I know that God doesn't create any junk."

This is so good! My hub and I were just talking yesterday about how much we grew from the 2008 financial crisis as individuals, but also as a family. My husband was a full-time real estate investor in Utah when it hit... OUCH! We were literally saved by the grace of God to not go utterly bankrupt, but just barely! There were many tight years in the interim, tight years that built character and perspective and wisdom in us and in our children. We see the hardships we went through as nothing but a blessing, now. Our general philosophy with money has become this: be stingy with yourself, and be generous with others. There is so much abundance outside of material possessions! I have always loved President Monson's talk about living the "abundant life", because it is easily within most of our reaches. And for those that it isn't, we can help.

Thank you for sharing this message of hope. Sometimes, life feels overwhelming and it's easy to forget who we are. Thank you for remembering us that we are children of God, that we matter, and there is no mountain that we cannot climb with the help of the Lord :)

Why is it that when you feel as though you have the answers, you sometimes push aside opportunities to be touched? I Don’t usually stop to view the Hope Works at Home videos...because I already “know” the information that will be shared, that I already have That Answer. I am so glad the promptings were strong enough today that I DID stop scrolling for recipes, and housekeeping tips, and WATCHED this video. It is definitely THE place I needed to be today; gave me new eyes to see today, and offered me blessings I am in need of TODAY.

It’s strange, but I think answers come to us when we humble ourselves, soften our hearts, and spiritually reach out to the Lord. I can’t quite explain it, but it happens every time I allow myself to do this. And the Lord just waits there to help pick us up, but we need to reach out.

There was a time in my life a few years ago that I found myself alone. Depression set in and I considered suicide, but Jesus came into my life and He was all I had. Over a period of time, He lifted me out of the pit, and I realized He was all I needed. If not for God I would probably be dead, but things have gotten better lately, and I will never forsake The Savior! I realize now that I wasn't alone at all, He was there with me all the time. I just had to call on Him and trust Him to help me get through the hardest times of my life.

Look, I loved most of this message, there are a few caveats. Owning and examining past behaviour is crucial and can give much insight into our trials and how to lighten our burdens. The trap is overly blaming oneself for mis-steps that we make as we don't have the full picture. The housing crisis of 2008 is a good example, as this was caused by corporate and bank greed. Self examination of your financial habits is all well and good and should be done regularly, but also people were also a part of a larger whole with the housing crisis one they had little control over.

Failing doesn't make someone a failure, not succeeding is a step forward and not falling behind. As long as someone is still trying they have not failed, just things did not work out as expected so we need to try again.

I have personally found there is a difference between my own trials and the trials that I share with God, if that makes sense. No matter what... life is going to try us all, but wouldn't I rather have purpose, direction, and more importantly hope while climbing out of pits and over mountains, instead of relying on my own strength? Thanks for sharing this, I needed it.

The ONLY thing we, as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, have control over AND are invited (under covenant) to do EVERY SINGLE WEEK is to "always have his Spirit to be with us". That, to me, is the ONLY proper measure of any success in this mortal probation. Every other 'good thing' falls under the category of righteous desires and (to me) are not measures of either my success or failures--in the least bit.

Father finds the ways to teach us that Faith and Obedience are the only true paths to Joy. This is an amazing example for all of our lives. You can change a few dates or specifics, but in the end the paths and the challenges are measured to fit each one of us individually.

Never give up on yourself, the LORD loves you despite the trials and tribulations you go through....we often find ourselves indulging in the ways of the world that leads us down a path to destruction....however eventually you will rise above it all....just remember to always put the "LORD" first and foremost in your life and pray often....you'd be surprised at what blessings the "LORD" has instore for your diligence and perseverance in your struggles, to find that peace of mind and sense of relief....but most importantly "LOVE YOURSELF" you are a child of "GOD" after all and your soul is precious to him who created and gave you life.
