I'd be very interested in seeing Salty and the gang revisit this series, they apparently completed the series last year with 10 episodes in total and are currently working on an original show with their strange OCs. This show is wild because after watching three episodes of a Spongebob fanseries and 20 minutes of you guys dissecting it I still have ~no idea what its actual purpose is~. What could these people possibly feel they’re not getting from name-brand Spongebob that this show is going to provide? Epic journey with the dolphin protagonist (who we haven’t even met yet!)? Gritty crime drama with Spongebob and Patrick on the sidelines? Trenchant commentary on the current political climate? Antisemitic tract? The horizon is boundless, I could genuinely believe they’re planning to do any or all of those things based on what we’ve seen and it fills me with a strange mixture of fear and wonder.
