I battled loneliness and anxiety for years. I know EXACTY how you feel. It's a feeling of being trapped. A feeling of dread. A feeling of emptiness and fear. I know it all too well. And I know it feels like it will never end, like you're trapped in it forever, but I PROMISE you, it will lift. That spark will happen. Praying for your deliverance my friend. Hang in there and you'll be stronger than. ever once you get through it. AND YOU WILL. God does not abandon.

Praying for you, friend. Here's something that worked/works for me: always envision Jesus right next to you, because he IS there...in the passenger seat of your car, on the bus or train, at work, on the couch at home, at the table as you eat. If you're alone, talk with him, out loud. Tell him everything. He's the best listener in the world and longs to talk with and comfort you. I used to put a chair next to my bed, to remind me that I'm not alone, Jesus is right there, watching over me, always. And yes, I talk with him in bed at night, when loneliness can overtake us. Jesus tells us repeatedly, be not afraid, for "...behold, I am with you always." (Matthew 28:20) He is ALWAYS with you, so when you're lonely, talk to him, cry with him. Believe that he loves and understands you, because he does. God bless you. 🙏🏼✝️

Thinking of exile, I look and think back how our gracious God prepared that highway for me and my children. At that time, 25 years ago, when He exiled us from the country of origin, there was no war and no one even imagined that my country in the middle east would have any kind of troubles. God knew, I didn't foresee what might have happened. Not only God exiled us, but also prepared for me to join the Catholic Church in the most mind boggling experience I've ever had. He prepared the parish, the priest who baptized, and everything for me to merge smoothly. It was absolutely a mystic experience that there is no room for me here to speak about, however, everything I can say that it's enough for me to think of it and feel God's power. Yesterday, one of the sisters in the parish asked me how I was doing, and my response was if I prayed in front of this cross day and night it would be much less than I should do. God knew what trouble that may come to us, and saved us even before I knew that troubles were coming. Our gracious God is really the God who saves. I thank Jesus for everything, and for the peace He put in my heart through my Catholic faith.

Also be sure to not over-spiritualize it. Yes, we all need to give our lives to God, but that doesn't mean we stopping living in a physical world. We eat, drink, sleep, exercise, sometimes we need medicine. Treat your addiction (and by extension, your whole person) with whatever is needed. There's not a one-size-fits-all solution.

Me too. I've been trying to overcome my addiction by myself. But after almost a year of trying, I haven't had a lot of progress at all. So I've finally decided to get medical help. I will pray for you, and everyone struggling with addiction. 🙏

I couldn’t overcome my addiction to alcohol until I gave it away to God. I struggled with addiction until I asked and allowed God to take total control of drinking. I had to do the work but God controlled my path.

I came back to the faith this year, and the Rosary saved me from habitual mortal sin. The lord and the blessed mother and my guardian angel have saved me. I pray more, I know more about the faith, and I attend mass more. I do more to honor and glorify the lord. I am thankful. The rosary saved my life, especially at a time when I thought I was lost.

The Lord Jesus is God's only perfect man. Did you know that your religion teaches Mary was sinless, but your Catechism contradicts this absurd teaching by stating, "she became the cause of salvation for herself and for the whole human race." Do you not see this glaring contradiction? If she was the cause of salvation for herself, then she had to be a sinner who needed to be saved. Furthermore, after Jesus was born, Mary went to the Temple to offer a sacrifice for her own sins (Luke 2:22-24). A “sinless” person wouldn’t have done that. Have you not read, "all have sinned"? (Rom. 3:23). The inspired Word of God does not say "all have sinned except Mary." May I encourage you to give all glory, honor, praise and thanksgiving to Christ alone because He is worthy!

Certainly, I understand the idea of a "highway" as a road I drive. I appreciate how Bishop Barron illuminates what a highway is in the spiritual sense, emphasizing that as sinners, this highway makes way for us to leave behind our old selves and embrace new selves. Gid is a good God. My grandmother use to tell me God is always took care of me. I was a sinner for a long time. In was tired of the things I was doing. I went back to church & prayed to him ..he got me back together. I read my Bible & pray the rosary everyday. Jesus has always led me the way the truth and the life . I come to follow Jesus . @5:00 I'd add Depression, Father , Depression was the demon that made me feel so far from God. And he has came and healed me, brought me back close to him, when I came back to my parish, had my first Confession in too long, received the Eucharist after too long. That was 5 years ago. Today, I am an active lay minister in my parish. I still struggle with the demon and still struggle being loved though. Thank you for your homily. And Thank You God, Amen!

Dearest Lord, You are my refuge. Lord, You are my God above all and You protect me like a shelter. I rest in the truth that You will not allow evil to win over me. Lord, please have mercy on me. I beg You, Lord, to send me Your Spirit's strength with prosperity and abundance in my life, as I continue to obey Your will to open doors for opportunities and create highways of financial growth. Finally, Lord Jesus, I need You because You are my Provider. In You Lord, I live and move and have my loving family. It's a powerful miracle that signifies a symbol of resilience in Paris City with the help of global politics. For us Catholics, it marks the revival of the Holy Eucharist where our faith has been nurtured the Last Supper of Jesus Christ is a reminder of His love and His great Mercy for us. There were tears in my eyes when I saw Our Lady of the Virgin Mary's victory and the triumph of faith and unity throughout the whole world. Bishop, we love you.
