This is common throughout South America. People live with their parents often well into their 30s, unlike the US where it's 18 and hit the road. Couples looking to hook up (regardless of age) go to motels (sometimes called hotels, but mostly motels). The cheaper rooms have fewer amenities, but the nicer ones are often thematic and really decorated nicely. But the motel is extremely common, and not directly a function of one's lack of income (they aren't cheap) or socioeconomic status. It's just a way of life. Very common, and nothing to do with a given country's economic situation. Then there's the puteiros (brothels) which are as common as Starbucks in the US. Literally. Even on the same block as the police station.

“Unlike the U.S. where it’s 18 hit the road.” What part of the United States do you live in? Have you seen rents and house prices here?

Love Hotel? sound like something right out of the pages of the 1960s and the Love Generation. The concept behind this hotel does sound good for those who need some time to themselves to celebrate a special event in their lives or just need time alone.
@palody_en-ja7 күн бұрын
I'm a little shocked to see multiple couples in a room without obfuscation. Japanese love hotels are very privacy-focused, so you won't even encounter staff members during your stay. When you arrive, each car gets their shutters lowered down far enough that the license plates are hidden too. And yes, some couples are legitimately together as well, but they use the service since they might live in a multigenerational home. The walls are disturbingly thin in Japan too.

We have those here...they charge by the hour. Here The State does not provide.😂😂 That narrator sounded like the old "Cola Nut" actor from Coke commercials in the '70s (I think). Hilarious! 😂
@MomentsInTrading7 күн бұрын
The narration is actor James Earl Jones- The voice of Darth Vader. If you are older, he also did the call sign for CNN- “This is CNN”

even back then it gave me that "In Search of" and "Unsolved Mysteries" feel. Good choice of narrator but a shame it was done for TV with those limitations of what could be said and shown.

I believe the term in the US is hot sheet motels. A couple might very well find the covers warm from the last couple. (ick). Here in Utah we have a different solution. Each wife has her own bedroom, if not entire dwelling. It’s been officially renounced since 1896 so the state could become part of the union. But I can assure you renunciation and actuality are unrelated.

Definitely have not.Of course I married a loser who couldn't even pay the rent let alone go somewhere else for a night.😂 once we used all our money for a family vacation and we made it to a native american museum but we didn't even have enough money for all 4 of us to get in.I told him I would ask the museum to let us in anyways because I wanted my kids to see it and learn of our ancestors culture but he freaked out and refused to let me. So we left. Great last family vacation huh....✌️

Love hotels are very common in Latin America and Asia. It is due to the fact that a lot of people still live with their families so a love hotel is a great place to go if you want to have some one on one time with your partner. Despite growing up in the U.S I did the same thing with my X.
