Matt, what a showman. Starts off with low expectations, having fished a few hours with no success, wind working against him, and oh yes, mashed my thumb in the truck door. But still, he scores some nice bass. I hope you double your subscriber base.

It’s amazing how one nice topwater fish makes those thoughts of leaving disappear! Instead it turns into several more hours on the water! I did catch one nice one in the morning on Freddy the frog, but it took a few hours to find that one bite and by then my camera discipline was starting to fade so I was looking away when the fish hit.

The fact that this guy can post a video almost every week where he catches at least one biggin - usually more than one - shows how good of a fisherman he is. Thanks for the video Matt!

I also like the fact that it feels like "realistic" fishing. Like the guy is losing a few fishes and not everything is perfect. I like that a lot.

Just want to say thanks! Saw your videos pop up in my feed and have been watching them religiously ever since! You inspired me to get my dads old fishing gear out , "borrow" the family kayak my sister never used, and go out fishing! Its been about a month and Ive had a lot of fun, its a really rewarding hobby, especially for a great cook lol. I always found fishing from the shore a bit boring, and fishing from a boat is a big investment, but a kayak is perfect, and lets you get places a boat couldn't go! Caught my PB today with a 110 loon plopper, a 16.5in largemouth!, also got a 15 a little before that. As a kid I had only fished with bait and a bobber, but I learned from these videos just how fun and engaging topwater fishing can be. really changed my whole perception of the sport.

An ideal environment for largemouth bass with all those water lilies. When Saturday comes I’m looking forward to watching gorgeous videos like this one from NDYakAngler. Some of them have given me confidence to try new lures: yesterday I caught my first bass on a Savage Gear snake (black colour) that I ordered after watching the corresponding video on this channel. It was a decent 43 cm bass that was captured minutes after sunset under a gorgeous red cloudy sky and the sound of deer (mating time). A zen moment… Earlier in the afternoon I had already caught another even bigger bass (53 cm) on a wacky rig with a black Senko. Not my first fish with the wacky but it was Matt who inspired me in my beginnings with this rig. The same I can say about swimbaits: the Savage Gear 4 Play V2 has been quite a revelation to me (along with some cheap Chinese swimbaits) giving me big bass…in winter!

Great vid as always! Top water Chain Pickeral is my personal fav. No pike here unfortunately. But the pickeral are so ferocious and aggressive on the top water, more so than the SMB in my opinion. I've got 9 of them on the top water this year 24" or bigger. So exciting on the top water. When the water is calm and you get to see the wake from the giant pickeral going after the top water lure 5-10 feet from any angle is awesome. Waiting for the attack than setting the hook .More top water vids Good Sir! Best fishing vids on KZbin!!! Cheers
